Has the entretaiment business lost it's decency and respect?

Seems to me, that decency and respect are almost extinct in the entretaiment business, in everyway you look at it. Never tought that profanity, mayhem scenes and vulgarity would become this day in age "ART". and needed in order to have a good hit movie...
