I saw this YouTube video on someone else's site. Their mysterious "search" bar is gone and in its place - Ads by Google. Wow. Google is very bold to be using ads on other people's videos, capitalizing on sites without sharing? Or does the video owner get a rev share?

What? Where did that video appear? I wonder if the site owner shared in the revenue, too. If Google Ads showed up on SodaHead, I think they owe us money, which means better features and faster servers (see, I always think about the users!).View thread

I suspect if they are not giving up some financials for this advertising .. then it wont be long til they are in court about it... or offer the video owner a minimal reward for letting them advertise on the thing... - +1 raves Generator December 17, 2008 17:27:08
Google is just out to control the world anyway. That's why they want you to install things like Google Earth so they can monitor what you do with your computer time. Gmail is scary too as they scan your emails and bring advertising links related to what your email is about. I am sure their stance is that they own YouTube now and threfore they own all vidoes posted to it and can do whatever they want with it. Stop the madness and use Yahoo search engine instead :-) -
You make a good point :) - +1 raves HPGal3 December 13, 2008 06:39:42
If it was my video, I'd want a cut of the revenue, or raise hell. Whichever comes first. - +1 raves skeeter2 December 12, 2008 09:25:56
Google seems to be seeping through the cracks anywhere and everywhere.
