Would you rather have links to your profile with your user ID or custom URL?

When you put the cursor over a User, the status bar of the browser shows the link to the User (if you have enabled your status bar). The site currently links to profiles using the user ID. We have considered changing it to use the Custom URL if a user has one.

You can set your custom url in your Dashboard.

User ID (ie. SodaHead.com /user/profile/123456)

    Either way is ok with me, I'm not fussy BUT I would like to ask you what Sodahead can do about all these worms, trojans popping up all of the sudden. I've never had any trouble until last night I got hit by two of them but my antivirus caught them thank god.

    I hope that theres a way to maybe fix this if possible, do you think it's coming off links or photos people put on here?

    I really dont mind the current way it works.
    Perfectly easy to link to SoadHead, from any web page I want.
    Either way, It's all good!

    I think it's ok with user ID. Seems quick and easy to me.

    Myspace does the custom URL but I don't think anyone really pays attention to it. Although, with the custom URL would it be easier to find and disable false profiles?

    Custom URL would be cool, but I can't imagine someone actually noticing as I'm pretty sure nobody gets to another person's profile by typing anything in, except maybe in the search box.

    Custom URL:s appearing first in the search would be helpful, though (or my friends appearing first in the list of search hits, but I already suggested taht).
