The original motivation was shameless self-promotion. I knew my time was about up. The companion TV series for Smallville that I had been trying to promote had a limited time frame for being viable. Millar and Gough wouldn't even allow a pitch through proper channels. So I approached cast members and had conversations with John Schneider and Michael Rosenbaum about it (one with each). The people who had the most to gain were the supporting cast of the show who would have the opportunity to double their work without doubling their expenses. I hate to see anything get wasted -- especially when it is a hunk of my life in question. I never intended to create a body of work numbering in the 100s of stories ... and I thought something should come out of what I created. Then I was victimized in my own life to such an extent that I am now in a hole I don't see myself ever getting out of. Getting a story filmed or my movie made or even hearing one of my songs performed ... something like that ... I imagined could save me from the place I'm at. Now I don't have the health to persue anything so I'll do what I can as long as I can. So now, I comment on the blogs on AllisonMack.com as stimulus to try to keep my brain cells exercised a little to try to stave off the lobotomizing experience of my day to day life.

I love the blogs because it gives me a look at your life outside of Smallville. The Mack Events are a close second because I sometimes am unable to do them.

Too many people treat actors and actresses like gods. They're people, and I like seeing what some of the more intelligent ones (like you) have to say. Keep up the excellent writing and introspection, and maybe I'll comment on one or two entries and participate in a Mack event. :)
