physics and time so how many of you know about the speed/time debate... or at least its a debate to me. According to the theory the faster you go, the slower time travels in perspective to the object moving at that speed. But if time and velocity are related, why isn't time being studied more throughly through velocity studies... and does that mean that velocity is somehow the gate keeper of time??? or perhaps time controls velocity..... and is it actual velocity through space, or does centrifugal force count?	1	July 26, 2008 19:48:10

The question and comments make NO sense what-so-ever. The question assumes that both speed and time are absolute, which they are not. Only relative velocities matter and only proper times ( the observers time) matter. You lack a basic understanding of special relativity.

On The subject of velocity and time. Maybe us being a people who measure most things by what we see. Maybe time is as simple as gravity in our perception of things. maybe time and velocity are one in the same. lets revisit Newton. In theory if you could travel faster than light you could go back in time. Superman may have got it right....

I'd like to know if there is ever a time when Time and Velocity are not connected? And if so then at extreme velocities there may be times when "time" is not a factor or anchor so to speak. Let me know your thoughts?
