Aerial Hunting is when people go in to low flying planes and shoot wolves down by chasing them; often enough it doesn't even kill the poor wolf in one shot, a couple of goes are usually necessary. Sometimes they chase the wolf and wear it out, then landing and shooting it at point blank. It is considered (even by other hunters) to be inhumane, cruel and unsporting (as some other hunters say). Some justify this with population control, and protecting the moose/carriboo. But in truth, the biggest threat to the moose population are the oil rigs and pipelines. The same people who claim to be protecting the moose don't dare to touch the issue real issue of desroying the alaskan environment and it's native animals.
