This scares the heck out of me.
What is going to happen to the females that got ok'ed by the parents, after giving a choice.
It sets every female, women or childen up for rape.
What did they expect for men with no women, and no chanch to ever have one?
Women will have their pick though, if they can live past childhood.

This is what happens in societies in which women have little value,or are not worth keeping.

    First, it's a cultural thing.
I came from Singapore, where the mindset is similar, most first time parents and their in-laws all want 'boys' as their first born.
I did well- gave my ex-husband, 2 sons.
Having said that, Singapore has a Woman's Charter Act that prohibits men from taking more than 1 wife.
This Act is useless, as when going thru a divorce in Singapore, the woman ALWAYS, in most cases, loses, joint/full custody of her kids.
I was one of the lucky ones, to get full custody of my 2 sons.
However, the Singapore Confucius Judge, REFUSED to hear the childsupport matter, and I financially supported my 2 sons. While their wealthy bio-dad became - a deadbeat father.
Women count for nothing in Singapore, unless of course, the woman has the full support of her parents.
Women in Singapore, are merely chattels.

Sorry to hear that,It's very sad to know that in 21st century there are still societies that do not value women, hopefully some day this will change for the better, but certain traditions are really hard to break,in Latin America by the time my mother was a teenager, some parents already had a groom already chosen for them, most men thought women are only to serve one purpose get married, have children, that' it,my mom's destiny was different, she meet my father who was a very open mind person, she became a teacher, now a days some things have change but there's still that stigma.

Marcy, that's wonderful news to hear, about your mom, and your great father!
yes, many cultures don't care for women, they are meant for breeding, as it is the male that carries the NAME. I think it is different in Mexico, as the mexicans carry their Mothers' last names.

In Latin America many women are still mistreated, but not to the extreme like in Muslim countries, saddly many international organizations don't really want to meddle into the policies that are being used to repress, punish women in Eastern countries,Sharia law is implemented and there is nothing this poor women can do,they are beaten, encarcerated for ridiculous infractions while men are mostly in the safe side of the ally.

This is so wrong. There is 15% more women in the whole world population. We need more men! This is why men cheat. We are outnumbered!!!

There is NO justification for being an asshole. Women cheat too. People cheat because they are insecure, selfish, uncommunitive asses.

What's going to happen this generation grows up and realizes there's no Vietnamese girls to marry and mate with because their parents were brain donors and aborted them? Either the population will die, or we'll have a wave of Vietnamese immigrants looking for hot American chicks.

Terrible, terrible reason to get an abortion. Reminds me of how Chinese parents were hoping for boys under the one-child law.
