I researched the topic of "infanticide" for a college paper. It seems that people from the dawn of time have practiced it. In some cultures, if a baby was born with any defect or maybe the wrong sex ,size .,etc...they left the baby out on a rock to perish.This kind of abortian ...sex specific is like those early infanticides.Not rational... but guided or misguided by emotions.The blunders of mankind are abundant.

Isn't it obvious why they don't want girls? If you have a girl that means if a boy has sex with them there's a chance of pregnancy and the parents will have to help take care of the baby; but if you get a boy, he can have sex with anyone and there won't be any reprocussions. Having a boy is just more convienent because teenagers these days have no control over their hormones. So why not have a child that can have uncontrollable hormones and not pay for it? Yeah, isn't that what everyone wants? Well we'll see how many babies they have to worry about when all the men are hooking up because women are an extinct species.

Well that may be true, but I bet having to worry about a daughter getting pregnant has a lot to do with it. Girls just aren't valued there.

Hmong women do not get abortions, now, we know there are few absolutes but this is overwhelmingly true. The Hmong of South East Asia do not practice such.

South Korea gets many abortions they say too, though it is officially banned.

This is what happens when you have a Godless State and Government.

Vietnam has Catholicism and Buddhism, two religions that purport to be against Abortion though on the other hand, their dictatorship is called Stalinist.

this is so sad. why are boys so much better? i don´t see why having a girl is so horrible, but then again i´m an american so as a girl i live a very lucky life. still, what an awful reason to kill a child. where in the world do they expect to find women for those boys? are they just hoping they´ll turn out gay?

I won't go into it and I've only briefly seen articles on it but in some places in the world like India and then, maybe only real rural places, they aren't even aborted in some cases: girls may be alive and they are discarded SO some articles and people say, I haven't researched it or been there! I think some of that thinking goes down to how much can a person do on the farm and things like that.
