    The spirit of the fighter.

Since the average skill-set in modern MMA is so high now, any top fighter can beat any other top fighter on any given day.

If the fighter shows-up with the right mind-set and the deep desire to win, he/she can use any of the techniques above to emerge victorious...except for maybe capoeira...you would definitely get your arse-kicked if you do a Brazilian riverdance across the ring.

Muay Thai Boran or ancient Muay Thai. Not the everso popular modern day sport version of Muay Thai. I'm talking about the old style(s) of Muay because they include much more kicking, punching, kneeing, grappling, groundfighting, and elbowing techniques not found in ring Thai Boxing. I believe that Muay Boran alone can stand up to any MMA fighter who mixes styles like Brazilian Jujitsu or Greco-Roman Wrestling with the diluted form of Muay Thai.

Muay Thai is definitely one of the styles that wins a lot. Knees and elbows for MMA, but I like Ninjutsu too. I think Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is another great one.

i voted other because ju-jitsu is most important the reason its most important is 95% of all fights go to the ground and ju-jitsu is most effective there

In my opinion there in not one style that can dominate today's MMA. Wrestling and/or Ju Jit Su are very important if you end up on the mat. But, if your competition is very good at sprawl and brawl then you are going to have to be a good at standing and trading. Plus, all matches start on the feet. So you need to be very well rounded to be in the top teir of the sport.

Juijitsu and Muy Thai - Most fights end up on the ground but combine it with stand up leg kicks and elbows....that would pretty much cover any type of fighting situation.

I THINK IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF ALL MARTIAL ARTS YOU HAVE WEAKNESSES. BASIC PRINCIPLES OF EACH ARE NECESSARY. SO I THINK IF YOU ARE GREAT AT ONE AND NOT SO GREAT AT THE OTHERS YOU WILL GET STOMPED.

if it's like chain wrestling I believe it's highly effective. A person can do anything from a hold, throw, shot or working the defense. I love wrestling and stand by the sport 100%

    Greco Roman Wrestling

i think greko roman wrestling is more effective because most matches that i have seen have been won on the ground and wrestling in general is a big part of an mma fight . plus wrestling is a big plus when it comes down to being mentally and physically fit so you wont be so tired during a match and also your reaction time is a lot quicker

    Greco Roman Wrestling

greco roman is lmost all clich fighting, and in most MMA fights there are alwase a few instances were both fighters are in a clinch. if one fighter can thow in dirty boxing and setting up take downs, a fightr can turn clinches into a profitable area of the game

It depends where the fight ends up... So many fights that end up on the ground are won by the stronger wrestler. When they are up, fast hands are often what wins. Though, there are always those occurances that some kick or bizarre move wins a fight! I guess that's why its's MMA!!
