What are some good tips for public speaking?

So I have to do a presentation tomorrow infront of my Sociology class on Gender *eeeeek!!*
I'm totally spazzing out because I hate public speaking and this is only like the second time I've done it o_0 What are some good tips to help me get through it? x

    have an outline

    practice in front of ur frnds 1st

    I heard a good one a while back when some guy I was working with said he wasn't nervous to go in front of the group to talk because he was the only one who knew what was going to be talked about.

    Haha, that makes sense, unfortunately for me, my whole class knows what I'm going to be talking about, in fact they're probably more clued up on the subject than I am :/

    HI Laura: I know just what you mean. I never took public speaking in high school or college, but then had to learn how to do it the last few years in front of large groups.

    So, the first thing that helped me was this: I only looked (initially) at the first row of people, and in particular, singled one or two people out to "address", as though they were the only people in this huge room.

    The second thing was simply telling myself over and over again that it was time for me to get out of my "comfort zone", and that I would be better for it. In other words, visually expanding my "circle". It does help. And everytime you do it, you get better and better at it.
