New Accusations Await Alex Rodriguez

- Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez took his first swings since undergoing hip surgery in early March, getting eight at-bats on Thursday in a simulated game against team prospects. He struck out twice and hit a long home run.

Rodriguez was surrounded by minor league coaches and watched by a handful of reporters at the Yankees’ training complex here in a casual re-entry to the world of baseball, but his return to New York will bring a new level of scrutiny.

That is because his arrival will roughly coincide with the release of a book accusing him of steroids use perhaps as early as high school and during his time with the Yankees, according to an article Thursday in The Daily News.

Asked to respond to the latest allegations, Rodriguez said: “I’m not going there. I’m just so excited about being back on the field playing baseball and hopefully coming back and helping my team win some more games.”... Read full article »

I think it's ridiculous that Selena is going to such measures to bring down A-Rod. I know her only intentions are to become famous and make money, but seriously, she's ruining this guy's life!

I said it before and I'll say it again, the Yankees should have kicked A-Rod to the curb a long time ago. He is a selfish, needy, baby that constantly needs his ego stroked. When things don't go his way, he delibrately throws the game. What happened to the good old days when the Yankees in the bottom of nineth with the bases loaded and a man up to bat, won the game with a double out. Before A-Rod came along. Steinbrenner needs to bring back Scheffield Giambi, and Sorriano. A lot of good players were let go. I've been to the new Yankee Stadium and I think the old one was better. double a-rod steinbrenner scheffield giambi sorriano players ive yankee stadium

That Selena girl is just stupid. He's admitted to using them in the pros, so who the hell cares if he used them in high school? Yeah, so many of us watched A-Rod in high school that this book is what's going to taint A-Rod.

And then she doesn't even have actual legitimate proof. His bench press numbers went up and some people in New York said that he did it in high school so it's going in a book. Freaking idiot.

Anyone being paid the amount of money like A-Fraud is, knows they will be scrutinized. Again his choice, to only tell half the truth or no truth at all. He's cheated baseball with the Commissioners blessing bascially. They all deserve a downward spiral into the toilet.

It is what it is what it is and that will always be. He and others have denied the truth and then got called out and told half truth and soon they will all be out in the open. The so called commissioner should step in and make it mandatory that every player that tests positive once gets a lifetime ban and his salary is put to NIL.

i used to like a-rod. Then he signed with the Yankees and i hated him. Then, I felt bad for him with the whole press conference thing where he was telling the truth. If this is true about him using steroids as early as high school, then this would be the greatest fraud in baseball history. Let's not even start with the "pitch-tipping" thing he's being accused of.

I think it is so sad. I remember him from the Seattle Mariners days. He left so he could make a ton of money and be the highest paid player. There was never a hint that he had taken steroids then, but who really knows.

Steroids seems to be like the best drug ever when you write it in paper. But once it gets to the penis size decrease part, it makes the worst drug ever. Men, build muscle the right was without putting your favorite muscle in jeopardy!

Honestly, this Selena Roberts woman needs to chill out. She's so freaking money hungry that she's actually going through such ridiculous measures to discredit this guy. A-Rod's already done his time and apologized. It was just a little drug use. Big freaking deal, Selena!

Poor thing, he's getting shafted so bad in this whole business. I wish they would leave him alone already! It's not like he hasn't already suffered enough for what he did.
