About Me

I was born in Mineola, N.Y. raised in Oyster Bay, Long Island, N.Y., raised three children as a single mother for many years; have seven grandchildren. I won awards for my oil paintings throughout the United States, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Lagos, Nigeria,
while residing in these territories. I earned an Associates Degree in 1980 from Brookdale community College, Lincroft, New Jersey; attended Rider College, Trenton N.J., then College Of The Virgin Islands, St. Croix, in 1982, majoring in elementary school education. I attended University of KS, graduating with a BA in English. I lived in Apapa, Nigeria, West Africa outside of Lagos mid 1970's during a coup providing needed help to Lagos street beggars, also volunteered at an orphans home. A major Corp. donated money in my name. I traveled throughout the U.S., Europe, England, Canada, British V.I., Puerto Rico, most of the Caribbean. I held positions as pre- school teacher; office manager; sales person for AT&T; home security systems; N.Y. social service medicaid dept.; receptionist for 12 N.Y. attorneys; nurse's aide on hospital maternity ward at age 16, and Red Cross volunteer, spanning over many years. In CA, my job involved people with mental illness and drug addictions, for Project Return, a Los Angeles County based organizaiton who awarded me with a Golden Bell award for my services. I have long blonde hair, dark brown eyes, look young for my age. I moved to CA in 2001 from N.Y.; would love to move back to the East Coast.

A man in his 50s to 60s with dark hair, expressive dark eyes, but don't want to get married again. I want to have fun with good companionship. I would like to meet a man with common sense, some college, spiritual minded, open minded, not a believer in religious institutions. Scientific minded, good sense of humor, good muscle tone, not a super body builder. A man who likes to work hard, or is retired. A man generous and caring to me. It would be great if he has a sporty car. No drugs. No smoking. Drinking with sense, ok.

I work as a mental health advocate, like to raise plants, take care of my Sun Conure Parot and paint. I swim alot. Peer to Peer music sharing on the internet. I do volunteer work.

I paint, enter art shows, won many awards, like to swim, did alot of sailing, read, and love the internet. I like to help people. I like to dance. I share peer to peer music on the internet with over two thousand music files; raise plants, and take care of my Sun Conure Parott. My eldest son with a disabiltiy lives with me. He recently graduated college with an Associates degree.

I like Rock and Roll, Electronic, Techno, Broadway Show Tunes, Motown, R&B;, some Hip Hop, classical, you name it.

Old sitcoms, old movies, mostly drama, talk shows, History Channel, true crime, National Geographic Channel, science, TV Land. Politics; The old Twilight Zone series. I hate reality shows.

Gone With The Wind; The Godfather; Deerhunter; JFK; The Devil wears Pravda; Alien; The Bird Cage; Towering Inferno; Sophies Choice; The Joy Luck Club, so many. Mostly drama.

I don't believe it had anything to do with being Muslim. As a soldier he did believe the U.S. should not be fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. He was a U.S. soldier before these wars. The U.S. govt. loves to play up the fact he is Muslim to justify troops fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. (more)

Rappers are phony; they don't live the way they sing. Rappers live rich fairly conservative lives. They watch out for their own kids, but make money putting violence into the minds of other youth. I think that some people who are bi sexual could be emotionally confused about their gender. They are neither totally homosexual, or totally lesbian. This could be a result of their childhood. Maybe counseling would help. I believe most men that feel like women really do, and many women who feel like men really do. I often wonder if they were given hormones to match the bodies they were born with should be tried before they get sex changes. Tetestorone is a male hormone. If physicians can give this to a female who wants to become a man, why not give the female large doses of the female hormone estrogen first, to see if that works. If a man born with a male body wants to become a female, why not try large doses of tetestorone first, a male hormone. These people could be lacking in such hormones in some cases. It seems that sex changes are becoming too much of a fad with physicians making a fortune doing them. There should be more psychcological screening first. I accept lesbians and homosexual men for who they are. They make good friends. I just don't like it when they push it in everyones face, and act as though they are an elite society to belong to. They want to be treated normally, then they should stop parading themselves so much. (more)

It was on news stations as being true. I watched Michael Goldfarb who refused to answer a direct question. I am actually very tired of United States Elections always involving Israel. We vote for President Of The United States, not of Israel. The United States needs to have a better relationship with The Mideast. Israel does not come to our rescue. Just recently The Prime Minister Of Israel had to step down for the embezzlement of millions of dollars. The U.S. has given alot of money and weapons to Israel which only enrages the rest of The Mideast. Americans pay for it with terror attacks. Barack Obama will be a fair President to all nations. Obama will go down in history as a great United States President. I have not liked any President since John Kennedy. I sat at a table next to Coretta King, Martin Luther King's Wife in February 1988 at a hotel restaurant in N.J. God keep Barack Obama safe from all the hateful ignorance in The United States. (more)

John McCain has proven to The United States exactly who he is, one ignorant, phony, too stupid to see it is all over for him. John McCain made one jackass out of himself. Barack Obama stood up intelligently against all lies and baloney the McCain Camp conjured up, including the media, racists, and fools. All John McCain and Palin are doing at this point is preying on uneducated, ignorant, gullible racist, people. John McCain will now be a two time loser. He should have retired with dignity. (more)
