About Me
Before reading on, please note this:
If you are considering adding me as a friend, please read through my general criteria.
-If you cannot operate the shift key, have poor spelling / grammatical skills, or otherwise show signs of unintelligent behavior, I will not accept your friend request.
-If your profile has no real description of you, I am forced to assume you have no personality. I will not accept your friend request.
-If we have never interacted before or have no friends in common, you are less likely to be accepted, but that certainly does not mean you won't be.
-Closed-mindedness is not acceptable in my walk of life. If I see you are repeatedly posting hateful comments, you will not be accepted.
-I don't mind if you like Twilight or Miley or anything; just don't spam me about it and everything will be cool.
-If I accept your friend request, and you post and share exclusively negative and whiny crap on here, you will be deleted from my friend list. I've done it before and I don't feel bad.
-If you're here to express your opinion, and learn about others, doing as such in a civilized manner, and you feel we have something in common by the descriptions in my comments, by all means, add me. I WILL accept your friend request.
All that being said.............. :
Hey everybody, you can call me Seth. or Burgundy. or even Burg, for short. Feel free to look around on the profile and send me a message if you wanna know more. I'm very extroverted and can be friends with just about anybody.
Up above ^^ my religion is stated as other...I should specify what I mean. I have three components to what I believe.
-Thiest: I believe in the existence of a deity. I don't claim to KNOW anything besides, but I certainly can form my own opinions. If there isn't a god there ought to be.
-Realist: I believe most firmly in what I know. Facts are handy. Simply put, "ignorance is bliss, but knowledge is power." I think with a moderate and rational mind (try to, anyway) and entertain many perspectives, not only on religion, but political, moral, and situational stances too. I question things, and if I don't find an answer, I don't claim to know the answer.
-Amorist: "amor" (Latin translation for 'love') Overall, the ability to love the people around you and work with them in a loving manner is the key to personal satisfaction. I give myself warm fuzzies by showing this to others. If I can make somebody smile - be it by a funny joke, making an ass out of myself, or showing a kind, compassionate gesture, I'm in. I also practice "tough love". If I feel something needs to be said, I'll say it. If you hate me for it but I better your life because of it, so be it. Feel free to do the same to me. I can take it, I'm a tough guy.

A few other things you should know about me:
~I am a very nice guy (at least I think I am) and would love to talk to you.
~I have a big mouth and what comes out of it doesn't get filtered by the brain, so forgive me if I sound like a jerk.
~I will say what I have to say, and if you don't like it, that's just tough cookies, man.
~I will return the favor to you. I may not agree with you, but I will defend your right to say it.
~Perhaps we can talk rationally, we can even come to a mutual understanding of each other. I value this ability in myself, and I find it rare in others. Try it out sometime.
~That's just about it! If there's anything else you wanna know, send me a message. I'd love to hear from you.
This song moves me so much: "Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw, specially home-made to feature the movie "The Bucket List" which sadly I've never actually sat down and watched it...

Music. I'm a writer, arranger, performer, and student.
Also like being active. I like sports, even though I suck at them...well, let's say I'm mediocre at table tennis. But that's not really a sport. Biking is good too. I'm not hardcore into it, but it's my main transportation in the summer.
Also like soaking in the sunshine when there's nothing better to do. Nothing beats serenading the birds with a guitar on a hot summer day.
Theology and religion fascinate me.

Rock...anything from classic rock to modern rock (but only if it's good, a lot of new stuff sucks) grunge / alternative, pop (again, only if it's good) and some country. Straight-ahead jazz, some blues, some more modern jazz too. A little bit of Classical / Romantic era stuff is nice now and then too.
No opera, and no scream metal. Both genres make my blood pressure skyrocket.

Divine Warrior Training by Tom Capshew
"Live dangerously, for God has not given you a heart of timidity, but rather a heart of self-discipline, power, and LOVE!" (somewhere in the book of 2nd Timothy...?)
"Be honest, love your neighbor, live life to the maximum, have no regrets, don't go against your family or those close to you, be unselfish, don't compromise your values just to keep the peace, don't apologize for honesty, choose your faith wisely, know yourself, express yourself, be yourself, and most importantly...love life." -my philosophy on life
"Religion should play an important role in marriage and other committed relationships, but I do not wish to have a threesome with Jesus." -me
"If God wanted us to talk more and listen less, he would have given us two mouths and one ear." -Mark Twain
(Regarding whatever it is that you do, in this case, musical perfomance) "This is what we do, and if this is what we say we do, then we have to be good at it. You wouldn't want your surgeon to have gotten a 'C' in anatomy, would you?" -Dr. Ronald Johnson
"Religion...has the most bulls**t story ever told...religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky, who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten things he does not want you to do, and if you any of these things, he has a special place full of fire, smoke, burning, and torture, and anguish, where he will send you to suffer, burn, choke, scream, and cry forever and ever until the end of time - but he LOVES you!" -George Carlin (not that I agree with it completely but it's funny anyway)
"It is true when they say 'bad things only make you stronger'...look at flowers and gardens. What makes the best grass? What makes the most beautiful flowers grow? Fertilizer. And what's in fertilizer? Manure. So imagine that; pile a bunch of shit on the ground and look what pops out? Beautiful flowers, a beautiful life." -Lyana (SH member and smart person)
"Do not believe in anything, simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything, simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything, simply because it is found in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything, merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions, simply because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find anything that agrees with reason and is conducive to the benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." -Siddartha Gautama
"Life is all about @$$. You're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one" -anonymous
"She turned away, what was she looking at?
She was a sour girl the day that she met me
Hey, what are you looking at?
She was a happy girl the day that she left me..."-Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots

But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room and you jump up and tackle-hug him, without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off.

Caroline™...
Perhaps we shall; I'm all for one of these gathering things...
=)
28 hours of sleeping, huh? Sheesh! How DO you fit it all into 24 hours?!
*Overt tutting*
Oh, you suppose...
*...and some eye rolling, too, just for the heck of it...*
...but only when you HAVE to talk to me, right?
=]
Anywas, if you can drag yourself out of bed, and stay awake long enough to reach the computer to read this, then have a good day, Seth.
=D
Ω Knee Uhh ☮
Caroline™...
A free Lucozade, too?
Now you're pushing it, Seth...
However, I'm not gonna deny the fact that you are, indeed, a good friend (strange, considering we've never even met, huh?)...
Sheesh! Now that is one heck of an eventful weekend, no?
How on earth do you do it all?
...And then you manage to fit SodaHead in, on top of all that?!
D=
Good golly...
My weekend pretty much consists of: SodaHead, Classics revision, SodaHead, guitaring, SodaHead, pondering the meaning of life (yay, snap!), SodaHead, and talking to Seth.
Rather enjoyable, I must admit: particularly the latter.
=D
For your enjoyment, another 'Song of the Day' is winging its way to you, right about...now:
(...I sure hope you like The Doors...)
=]
Caroline™...
Ooh, I don't know, though; unsliced bread can make a pretty good door stop...
=/
...Particularly when baked in our household.
I think I might start selling these (nearly) edible door stops on eBay, actually...complete with warning that you won't have teeth left if you decide to have 'em with your eggs in the morning, of course.
(NB: I am NOT a bad cook. Honestly.)
Woo! On to the weekend!
=D
You up to anything nice?
Or same old, same old?
Of course, you still have Friday to get through, at the moment.
Hope your day is goin' well so far, anyways.
=]
Adieu.
Caroline™...
Hi-de-hi!
Gatorade? ...Um...I've never tried it, no.
We do have something in this little spit of land that we call a country, which I'd guess might be similar:
...We call it Lucozade (and I generally can't stand the stuff).
=/
I beg to differ, you know: I was under the impression that sliced bread was the best invention intended for consumption, but screw me if I'm wrong (highly unlikely).
=]
=P
That is a better recording; you're very right, in my opinion.
But I tend to lean more toward 'Unglued', song-wise...
=)
And heck, despite the drugs, I'm a fan of Velvet Revolver (especially Slash)!
Ooh, if you are posting something on here, I'll look forward to it!
=D
Ciao, Seth.
Caroline™...
Hmm...what are these 'Wheaties' you speak of?
=/
Haha - and what, exactly, are you insinuating, Seth?
That I like men who prance about half-naked on the stage, whilst singing good songs?
...Well, I'm not gonna deny the fact that I like the 'prancing about' part...
Truthfully, though...I tend to prefer men who keep their shirts on.
=]
Have you had a good day, today? How'd that recording session go?
Anyways, I'm gonna (subtly) insert a 'goodbye' here <> just in case I have to leave before (hopefully) receiving a reply.
=D
Caroline™...
Genuine 'hello' time: hello, Seth!
=D
How art thou, today?
Sorry for the hunger-inducing word I used to end last night's conversation: wasn't too tactful of me. I apologize, sincerely.
Anyway, in the hope that your day is going well enough that you might reply to my comment, here is a video for your enjoyment:
(My 'Song o' the Day' - w00t! Love to the STP! ...Hoping you like 'em, too; otherwise, my apologies, Seth...)
=]
Cass
Hey Seth!! sorry it took me so long to reply- sodahead is really screwing with me!!!
& life has been kinda chaotic.
Mom thought that she was having a heart attack today, in the middle of cooking a huge mess, and things have just been crazy to say the least.
Things with me are good, but busier than ever- the semester is coming to an end and the work is really piled-up!!!
How are you honey??
Caroline™...
Ach! Flippin' typical that we keep missin' each other's green dots...
Ah, well.
I hope your rehearsal went well, anyways.
=]
And I will bid you a good evening, seeing as it's more fitting, considering the time of day where you are.
=)
I wonder if this is a genuine 'bye' from both parties, this time: I'm pretty sure this'll be the third time, tonight, coming from me...
:]
Cheerio, Seth!
Caroline™...
Ah, shoot.
And then...*poof*...you were gone.
=/
Sorry I missed you, Seth.
Enjoy the rest of your day, anyhow!
Ciao...
=]
(Up there - ^^ - cute little thing...)
Caroline™...
Ooh, 'ello again!
Didn't see you there, sorry, Seth...and now I feel terrible.
=S
I must say, I'm delighted you're back - yay!
=D
(Psst! ...You're my favourite.)
Haha - with regards to the Jonas Brothers, I must admit, I'm a sucker for men with floppy hair...it's my one weakness.
=/
I'm not used to all this attention. But I ain't gonna deny the fact that I find it's quite nice...
=P
Caroline™...
Haha - well, I'm off to see the Jonas Brothers (admittedly, I'm a fan), next...but I highly doubt you want me giving you the ins and outs of that one.
=P
But, heck: I seem to live for going to concerts, these days!
=)
Well, that's the first time I've ever been called a 'distraction'...
Thanks, Seth; I'm not sure whether I should be pleased, or not...
=/
=D
Anyways, enjoy the rest of your day, and whatever it may involve!
Talk to ya soon.
x
=]
Caroline™...
I'll have you know that I can play just as dirty, Seth.
So don't you frowny-smiley face me, just yet...
=P
Ooh, you poor thing - sounds tiring. I'm a fan of Wednesdays - it's a half day for us (multiple yay'ms!).
Ha! Two skeletons copulating? And on a tin roof, at that...
=D
That just made my day.
I'm intrigued as to how your professor is familiar with that sound, now, though...
=/
I'll be laughing about that for a long time, Seth - thanks for that.
=)
(Sheesh! I'm into using the smiley faces today, huh?)
Well, I'm on a (metaphorical) high, having just booked tickets to see Chuck Berry play in my city, three weeks today (yay!), so I'm apologizing in advance, in case you don't hear the end of that.
=D
Caroline™...
Immortal, eh?
...Bet I could outlive you...
=]
Haha - en inglés? Makes sense. That's probably my favourite phrase, too.
Sorry about the Welsh, though (again) - I hope you got the general gist of what I was asking you.
...Might get a little awkward, otherwise...
=/
How's life treatin' you, anyways?
Been a good day, so far?
Caroline™...
Shwmae!
=]
I'm very well, thanking you!
Sut wyt ti, heddiw, Seth?
=)
Sorry I didn't reply earlier - I had to get off to college.
Anyways, I was thinking about what you said; about having our entire lives ahead of us to converse.
...You think SodaHead will last that long?
=/
Of course, I'm sure there are various other ways we could find to chat - I always look forward to hearing from you, Seth: you keep managing to brighten my day!
=D
Hope to hear from you soon.
Caroline™...
Just poppin' by to say 'ello.
...'ello!
=D
Well, g'night, Seth.
Cass
Hey Seth huni!!!
How you are you doing?!?!
~Cassie;-)
Caroline™...
Well, assuming that by the time you read this, it'll be morning where YOU are...good mornin'! Bore da! How's Iowa today?
=D
It is indeed morning here; and the sun is shining (miraculously - I mean, this is Wales! Good Lord...), although it's close to freezing.
I'm glad life's treatin' you well! I'm in a good place, as they say, myself. I'm happy. Life is good.
Enjoy school, anyways: I'm off there in about ten minutes. Big yay'ms(!)
Ciao for now, Seth.
