About Me

I am a two time cancer survivor - once breast cancer and once tonsil cancer.

I have had some interesting jobs. My favorite has been in Law enforecement for which I have a degree. Also teaching journaling has been worthwhile. I owned my own used book store which was down right fun.

I'd like to meet

Many of my ancestors I never had the chance to know but of whom I have the greatest respect, especially those who were patriots in the Revolutionary War and those from Slovakia. John and Cindy McCain and Rosalyn Carter. I would have loved to have met Mother Theresa.

Activities

Walking, working out, attending meetings of DAR and Beta Sigma Phi, working on my writing, computer interests, Blogging, scrapbooking, stamping, and teaching journaling.

Interests

Politics, writing, fashion and beauty, womens rights, environmental issues, current events, sports - especially SEC football and MLB, reading, healthy lifestyle, genealogy,journaling, scrapbooking, stamping, history,entertainment, lots of things.

Favorite Music

Anything that is not too extreme, but I tend to tune to classical, 60's, and blues.

NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, Golden Girls reruns; JAG reruns, Reba reruns, Who Do You Think You Are?, and SEC football.

Hi,Scrappyang! I'm glad you saw my post to you. I thought your post was interesting on the medical level and inspiring on other levels. I don't know if you saw my other post but I lost my Mother to cancer when I was 11 and that was 51 years ago now. I'm always happy for survivors!! I hope you're having a Happy Easter today.

Hello! I only have one chi mix, the rest are all different breeds. Poodle mix, Shiatsu, the other two are big dogs, one is staffordshire terrior, the other is Chow/golden retriever. All my dogs are rescues. Can't stomach people abusing dogs.

Wow, you have a historical family tree. That must be fun to look at. I have many books on WT and he and his brother the politician had many frank and stern conversations. When I think of his words and world I realize nothing has really changed in Washington in near 150 years. Tell hubby we are brothers in arms as family caretakers. :o)
