I used to be an Agnostic Evolutionist, Scientific Realist and neoconservative Republican. That was about half a decade since I was twelve years old.
When I read a book just looking for parts on the evolution theory, I accidentally --I say this because I intended to only read statements from evolution scientists in the book, not quotes from scripture, which I thought was in there.--read scientific information, not Bible verses, that proved me wrong on evolution. I became a Methodological Naturalist (didn't know the name for it and still am) and a Theist Creationist (two years). Though creationism is linked to Christianity, creation is a subject in many religions and at that time I was looking at possible answers, theories and religions.
I then became a God-Sovereigntist Christian, meaning my only creed is that God is sovereign. That logic leads to the Bible being the word of God. I make no creed from there that I would not break should it be proven false by God's sovereignty, though I do uphold to the Five Solas and Calvinism's TULIP as I believe they match the Bible.
Another major change was with my political views. The same year that I was allowed to vote for President was the very year that I switched from being a neoconservative moderate Republican to the following:
I am a federal paleolibertarian, meaning I agree with the Founding Fathers, specifically the Anti-Federalists, and the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union. (Please alert me if I do not know of certain statements they made.)
At the state level, shamefully, I have yet to read my state constitution, but I do consider myself a capitalistic libertarian (meaning that I don't like income taxes or monopolies) and socially-ultra conservative (which means NO ABORTIONS [unless both the mother and child would otherwise die] :P). At the local level I am conservative fiscally and socially.
