Since when are beliefs confined to just one religious question?

People form beliefs about everything - politics, social issues, etc. The fact that I don't believe in any gods is just one answer to one question.

And it's unfortunate that more people can't figure out that "disbelief" in something does not constitute a "belief". That's why they are separate and different words. Cheers.

I don't know how to say this without sounding apathetic and lazy towards religion but I will try.

I believe in the goodness of man. I believe that there could be a god and I believe that because I have not committed any acts of desperation or depravity, I will be accepted into any afterlife that there is. I do not believe that one must have absolute faith in god in order to be rewarded in the afterlife because it is very easy to say you have faith and commit terrible acts on the side. I honestly think that if I continue to be a good person and I lead an honest life in which I help all that need me, I will be rewarded. It is hard and because of my families experiences with religion, I have come to see most as being corrupt and swarming with evil. I keep my hands clean and I will have faith that because of that, I will be rewarded.

I believe that the earth is our mother & that we are not born into sin, we were born right the first time. I do not believe that we need to be saved from anything or anyone.
