What I Saw at the Muslim Prayer Rally

What I Saw at the Muslim Prayer Rally
Robert Knight
Coral Ridge Ministries

September 28, 2009

Visitors to Washington D.C. on Friday got to hear what residents in Hamtramck and Dearborn, Michigan, as well as areas of London, Amsterdam and other Western cities already endure five times a day: The sound of amplified Muslim prayers lifted to Allah.

This time, the prayers reverberated over America's front lawn as some 2,000 Muslims gathered for the Jummah Prayer on Capitol Hill: A Day of Islamic Unity. Promoters had planned for 50,000 but came nowhere near that.

Hadn't you heard about this? If not, it's probably because the media have been tight lipped, the better not to embarrass the One in the White House. While some women in burkas were sighted in the crowd, there was no sign of Nancy Pelosi in a hijab, which she wore on her Middle East tour.

The purpose of Friday's event, according to its Website, was to "manifest Islam's majestic spiritual principles" in chants echoing "off the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and other great edifices that surround Capitol Hill."

Well, they probably didn't carry that far. These are not church bells, folks. This is the sound, however muted, of the world's most aggressive religion rearing up and lyrically cooing its desire to master the world under Allah. Islam means, literally, Submission to Allah.

Author and Islam scholar Robert Spencer, who I saw at the rally, described the prayers, said in Arabic, as ultimately about Islamic superiority. While they may not sound threatening, the message they send to those who understand the language is that "our time has come."

Another purpose for Friday's prayer on the Mall was to show Muslims worldwide that Islam is on the advance in the U.S. Dubai-based Islamonline.com, which bills itself as "the leading and original Islamic portal on the Internet," played up the prayer rally, giving it prominent homepage coverage.

Now, before you accuse me of lumping all Muslims in the same bowl, let me say that there are many nice, hardworking Muslims in America who mean no harm. In fact, many are here because they couldn't stomach living under Sharia Law in the countries of their origin. They may believe that the world will someday be subdued under Islam, but America's a fine place to be while waiting. Radical Muslims want to recruit moderate Muslims by convincing them that the day of Sharia is right around the corner, not in the distant future. Hence the more muscular approach at the Capitol. To understand why this is more than just a prayer rally, consider this:

The Prophet Mohammad divided the world into two areas: The world of Dar al-Islam, and the world of Dar al-Harb, or House of War. Everyone on Earth is therefore either a Muslim or an infidel who must convert or else. The Koran is quite clear about this.

In Muslim majority nations, such as Saudi Arabia, non-Muslims are regarded as Dhimmis, second-class people whose testimony in court is worth only a fraction of that of a Muslim and who must pay extra taxes. Forget equality under the law, and don't even ask how they treat Dhimmi women.

Another event all but ignored by the press was a Capitol Hill press conference Thursday held by Former Muslims United, led by Nonie Darwish. She and other ex-Muslims warned that Rifqa Bary, the 17-year-old Ohio Christian convert who fled to Florida because she fears an "honor killing" is not alone. Darwish and many other experts are featured on the documentary Radical Islam on the March, which will be broadcast on The Coral Ridge Hour on Sunday, Sept. 27.

While the Muslim prayer rally sponsors insist their purpose was to show the world that America is a free land that welcomes Muslims, visitors to the Website can hear a loud Islamic greeting in Arabic. If Muslims are interested in being viewed as just another group of Americans, why the Arabic? Why not English? Not even all Muslims speak Arabic. The real message on the site is in large block letters: Our Time Has Come.

Muslims have been emboldened by President Obama's election and apology tour and his frequent nods to Islam. Their pulses must have raced as he referred four times in Cairo on June 4 to the "Holy Koran," while noting that the Middle East is where Islam "was first revealed." They probably cheered when he became the first president in recent years not to host a Christian-sponsored National Day of Prayer event on May 7 at the White House but found time to preside over an Iftar dinner at the White House on Sept. 1 to mark the end of Ramadan.

Rightly or wrongly, many Muslims feel they have one of their own in the White House. Obama's formative years were spent learning Islam. It's not for nothing that the Bible declares, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6, KJV).

Along with Obama's recent conduct, that might be why Moammar Gadhafi referred to Obama as "my son" in his 95-minute speech at the United Nations on Wednesday. It's partly why Obama himself received a huge ovation as he came to the UN podium even before he took shots at Israel while gently chiding radical Muslims, and apologizing yet again for America.

It's not as if Mr. Obama hasn't given Muslims reason to claim him as one of their own. He says he is a Christian, but blasphemes Jesus by enlisting Him in the unholy causes of abortion and sodomy. As Frank Gaffney has noted, Obama even uses the term "peace be upon them" when referring to Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, "which is invoked by Muslims as a way of blessing deceased holy men." A Christian understands Jesus to be immortal, not dead like mere men Moses and Muhammad.

Another imam, Abdul Malik, is also an organizer. His Facebook site has an interesting lecture for young people. Here are some excerpts:

I want you to hear me very clearly: we must remember as Muslims, we submit and we surrender to nothing and no one: not the government, not the police, not the FBI, not the CIA. We submit and we surrender Allah alone, nothing else. Nothing else….. It's not gonna be easy and you don't have time to waste believing that you're young and that you can involve yourself in sport and play because when the enemies of truth drop the bombs on the world of Islam, their number one target, and the number one people that suffer the most, it is the children who suffer, it is the old, it is the women and that day they become widows and they poison the waters and the air, and the children upon, with cancers and other diseases … Democracy is not revelation, and democracy does not equal freedom, for in democracy...you have all of the vices that are against the spirit of truth; so no we don't want to democratize Islam, we want to Islamize democracy. That's what we want."

AS I recall, Obama stated: WE are the ONES we have been waiting for! He is pro-Muslim and anti-American just like his parents were!

barry is a muslim, always has been. nothing has changed in his world to convince me otherwise and the fact that they allow him to breath should be proof enough. also even if he was born in hawaii he gave up his citizenship to enroll in a madrasah in indonesia and he used an indonesian passport to prove his citizenship there. he gave up being an American to attend a muslim school and be indoctrinated into said RoP.
i really hate what bleeding heart liberals have pushed upon us. they wanted to make history... well they have. when islam takes over the first thing they do is erase all previous histories of the locals and replace it with theirs. America wouldn't even be a note in history any more just a bunch of erasure particles left behind on the pages after we are killed off or converted...

He is a Muslim and the worst part is....the Dems and most of the left dosent even care. They dont care he wasnt born in America, they dont care what he does as long as he goes along with the New World Order. And hes doing a great job, as far as thats concerned. He is so far-left its pathetic. He is NOT for this Country at all. Hes NOT a Christian either. NO Christian mocks the words of the bible. It just dosent happen. What goes around comes around....and id hate to be him when it does on Judgement Day. He needs to get his act straight and fast. People are FINALLY starting to wake up to his MANY lies.

I think he's Muslim too. Unfortunately, there are so many minorities who are proud of him just because he's a minority too, that they aren't paying attention to what he's doing. And I agree. I don't think he has the love of God in him. When a person claims Christianity, but is able to set it aside as easily as he does, then I think that's a person who may simply agree with Christianity. But, it's not a part of them. To me, he is a vile man, that I have a hard time acknowledging as my leader.

Yes me too. I dont consider him my President at all. I didnt vote for him, i dont respect him, none of that. I cant respect someone like him. Did you see the video of him mocking the bible? Its sickening. No one who does that deserves respect as far as im concerned. If he would just come out and admit what everyone knows then his approval ratings might go up a bit. Its his lies that are hurting him now. They are shining very bright.

Wow, it was a bad as we all thought. I have long suspected he was a closet muslim, and now he is out of that closet. He bowed to the king of Saudi, that was enough of a clue.

The leaders of Islam claimed many years ago that they were going to take over the world one continent at a time. They have pretty much captured every nation in Africa....they are in governments in Asia, Europe, UK and now infiltrating America.

We have massively to worry about and our President is one of them.

There is a new book that is just hitting the shelves that I heard about on the Rusty Humphries show how he infiltrated Islamic organizations that are in our government now and their intent. There are documents that were taken out that were going to be shredded and they managed to get them out before they were. It's scary scary stuff.

Oh, I agree that Christianity has its share of blood on its hands as well. But, as it was pointed out to me this morning, Christianity for the most part has grown up and for the most part teaches peace. There are those who are fanatical, who use religion as a channel for their aggression. These people are simply looking for something to justify their madness and would be most-likely, equally aggressive in any religion or belief system. I have listened to many well-meaning people try to make me believe that I'm superior to others because I'm white and use the Bible to back it up. Fortunately, I was always taught to think for myself, so I read the Bible for myself and it doesn't teach anywhere that whites are superior or that blacks are inferior. That's just some people taking verses out of context to support their claims.

Many have slaughtered and tortured thousands in the name of Christ. But, I've read the New Testament many times and I haven't found anything within the teachings of Christ that condones such behavior, much less commands it.

GREAT POINT - the Koran itself teaches violence for the sake of religion - but not Christianity!

tell that to the muslim when he has a knife at your throat as they concquer the world. those who don't submit die, apparently allah commands it and those who convert are a slave population because they weren't born into islam. second generations are a bit better off but it takes 7 to be equals.

no thank you, i'll keep my life the way it is and fight to keep them back.

Yano what… not one Muslim has held a knife to my throat nor have they threatened me. Or accused me of belonging to a slave population… how many muslims have done any of those things you mention to you?

I have never been injured or intimidated by a Muslim… but I have been SET ON FIRE by a fellow Christian, for being half-catholic, half-protestant. I have also been called names such as a ‘half-breed’, and ‘a mongrel’.

How many generations of Christians has their been. And they are getting no better..

i've got a question for you. how many muslims does it take to kill almost 3000 Americans?

i'm sure you know the answer as you are so learned and wise and i am a mere imbecile...

got another one for you. how many honor killings have their been against muslim men? can you find me any? i have one of an American woman...

    http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/d...

i have been shot at by muslims and didn't return fire per ROEs.

Christians donate more than any other religion or group (and just so you know i consider islam more of a government and less of a religion) and Americans more than the rest of the world.

didn't see any saudi or iranian Mercy ships where ever a tsunami hits another nation.

how many heads have Christians cut off in the last 20 or even 100 years.

and how can you be half Catholic and half Protestant? those aren't even a race! you belong to one then the other or neither... which apparently you are neither. it isn't a genetic thing and from the sound of where you are from it may have even been a political cause and not religious but i wouldn't know as i have only what you have told me thus far. and i'm called a mongrel all of the time. it's what most Americans are and since i train dogs they seem to be the best of any breed, be a proud mongrel... i am.

    i go...

i know. if she really is from Ireland then she may have seen some pretty bad things although most of what is happening there is the government going after locals in what amounts to a 400 year old civil war.
in her profile she claims to be an atheist but i have found that there are no atheists in a fox hole. everyone believes in something when dodging bullets...

my mother is protestant my father is catholic.. i believe that is half and half, dont you.. i was raised prostestant for the record. but yeah that didnt work out, i soon became athiest .. i thought it is common knowlege about the catholic prostestant divide in Northern Ireland.. even the cities are divided.. on the east side lives protestant, on the west side lives the catholics... fun times, eh?

aww the old 9/11 card eh? don't you's get tired of that. how many innocent Iraqi civilians were killed because of your war... ALOT more than 3000. and is Iraq a safer place now? simply no! Suddam may be gone but society is in tatters..

p.s i am not dodging any bullets so to speak... I do not believe in a higher power.. I study high level physics and science. I dont need a higher power to explain why we are here... a recent study shows that those with a higher IQ tend to be athiest, whereas those with lower IQs tend to be religious.. makes ya think don't it? :)
