Actually, Shadow, you are continuing to prove my point about responding in-kind.

When you interpret my words as meaning something akin to a terribly disrespectful epithet, you are in fact looking into the "mirror that I am holding in front of your face," seeing the condition of your own heart, not the true meaning of my words.

The interpretation of English words in written form is NOT universal.

However, whatever is most meaningful to the human heart is often "seen" wherever we go. It's not that it wasn't there before it became important to us. We just became aware of it, when it became important to us.

This has happened to me many times. It is usually with reference to some variety of car that I really like.

We bought a used Volvo XC-90 SUV in February of this year. I am fascinated at how many of these Volvos are on the street in our town.

I am quite sure that SUVs, especially Volvo SUVs were on the road before we bought one, but ownership does seem to heighten sensitivity.

I'm sure that you have seen something similar happen when you bought the latest digital camera, Blackberry, Ipod, pair of shoes, article of clothing, etc...

You are no different from me with regard to writing standards, including acceptable and unacceptable phrases. We each have them.

You appear to believe, like so many that I have met on SodaHead, that since you know contemporary standards of unwritten rules, and social mores (i.e. Do's and Don'ts, Including "Always BE Nice, or you are not allowed to call yourself a Christian!" This one gets used against me alot on SH...)

I'm sorry for the apparently strong emotion that you have felt that has interpreted me as the source of your pain. however, the real source of your pain is in your heart, not in my words. On top of THAT we don't have the same standards of writing mores, since you and i have been reared in very different Societies.

I will be 50 in 2010, and I was reared with a very different definition of LOVE. LOVE in its most Beneficially Defined Form is "The expressions of the heart, and actions of the life that will benefit the loved one for the most eternal duration."

Words that appear to be harsh on the surface are always to be defined as LOVING, when they are expressed for the purpose of turning some valued human from the foolish error of his or her life choices and chosen path of life.

My words to you are the same that they are to any other young person on SodaHead and all over the World, who "buys-into" the philosophy of Life straight from the pits of HELL that are bent on taking your precious soul there Forever.

My words are intentionally forceful, and harsh as the surgical strike of meaning that they are sent-out to be.

Look to be honest, I really don't like people like you. I respect your views enough, in my own way I suppose but I will be blunt. People like you, who don't seem (from my stand point) that have no room for the fact that not everyone believes the same as you, scare me. You keep telling me, you're going to HELL!! you're going to HELL!! God must save you, you're going to HELL!!! I don't really find that a good stratagy to try and get someone onto what you may believe is the "right path".

Throughout this... arguement I suppose one could call it, I haven't really set my mind any closer to God, I've actually been more driven away by the fact that everything about it seems so negitive (to me!).

You must understand, (then again I don't know if you even really care) that one day I will find a path that works for me and hey Christianity might be the right path but right now I'm not going to find that path because of my lack of experience for the world.

I respect you are much older then I and in some cases I suppose I could say you are wiser but forcing your oppinions on me does nothing for the both of us, but spark up some embered fire that is buried beneath died out ashes inside us both.

Further more, I will continue to live my life the way I always have, not worrying about divine judgement until I find that it's time to start worrying. This is how my life will un-folded at the roughest sketch of it and I'd think you'd find some at least curtisy to respect such a notion.

SO44, Please forgive me for having to use a little ageism of my own, but IMHO that is what is wrong with the majority of your generation. You force your beliefs on me and insult me by saying that i am forcing my ideas on you.

First, I state my beliefs boldly as i have consistently done since I was your age.

Secondly, I don't use the exact words, "YOU have to believe this!"

Third, people, like you, reared with the post-modern viewpoint ASSUME that anyone who states a belief with boldness is forcing said belief on you.

Fourth, "Be SAVED from the HELL of Eternity!" is the same thing as a doctor who tells you that you have cancer that will kill you unless it is forcibly extracted through an operation!

The doctor is not wrong for giving you negative news. Neither is he forcing you to take his advice. He is not even forcing you to believe him.

However, he is telling you the TRUTH! What you now do with that TRUTH is YOUR responsibility.

BTW, people like you, who believe that all world-views are of equal value, scare the HELL out of me, too. Because if you allowed to rule with that Stinkin' Thinkin', then this ol' world is going to be one Hell of a place when my little girl grows-up.

Much of the opposition that i have received on SH has been negative no matter what I say. I get conditioned as easily as any other human to expect vitriolic response in the negative. If you did not intend it that way, that is certainly refreshing. I am not hard-hearted, so I apologize where i assumed something in error. However, if I may be so bold, Now you know what it is like to be me... :)
