So yeah...I've recently become somewhat obsessed with this Atheism site, Atheist Empire(I don't really like the 'Empire'...don't really know why)...anyway...there is an email section on it where people send emails about how they feel about the site...in this section they let you read some emails that people have sent and they separate them into positive and negative....the positives are obviously nice...but the negatives....they are just....there are a few that are actually pretty nice compared to the...others...let me show you....

Hello.
I must admit this website made me sad. Don't get me wrong, not in any
patronizing, self-righteous way, but upset for several reasons.
First of all, we do not share beliefs. I am a Christian, and I do
believe that there is a God and "he is one." I am sorry and sad to hear
some of the anger and resentment to those of my faith (especially from
the man who made the graphics).

I am very sorry for my brother's and sisters who strike out at you in anger,
such as the guest book entry on the bottom left of the main page.
I do not share your doubt in the existence of God, nor in the idea that science
and religion are at odds.

By the way, your Einstein quote intrigues me, I have him quoting "I
want to know God's thoughts, the rest are details." ???

I am very sorry that most athiests probably hate or resent us. I
only wish to apologize and perhaps in doing so, show a small fraction of
what we try to be. We often fail, but we try. I hope and pray that
the Christians you know will do a better job showing love in the future.

I'm a guy who stumbled upon your site while looking for some RHCP lyrics. I won't torment you with any theological "junk", but I am curious as to why you are in fact an atheist. I too at one time was an atheist, though after years of questioning and doubting I actually decided to check out several religions. My findings were as I had expected at first, all full of discrepancies and false hopes. Finally I delved into "Christianity," despite my deterred interest due to many(Christians) whom I knew. Soon after, I too believed, not in the Church, or in the religion but the concept and the life of the Christ. All the evidence for Christ overwhelmed what doubts previously consumed my life. Well, I'm not sure if you will respond, knowing at one time I had a fervent enmity for any "Christians" feeling evangelical , but I hope you write back. I truly know that my God, the one who I have found to be true, is real and seeks you too.
