Question Religion

If Christians believe that salvation depends on the belief in Jesus Christ, what do Christians say is the destination of Jews? If Muslims and Jews do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah, do Christians believe Muslims and Jew will be together in hell?

Carl6188 November 07, 2009 05:55:23

How does one religion prove that their belief is more right than another? This question does not apply to Jews for Jesus.

Joh 14:5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I'm Jewish. While I have nothing against Christ...I don't revere him at all. Please don't be offended by that-it is not my belief system. Yet you tell me like it is common knowledge and or law that I should honor him the way you do. That is not right.....just like it is also not right for a Muslim to tell you that Mohammed Trumps Christ in the Prophet hierarchy.
To put it simply, I believe that G-d has a deal with the Jews to worship him the way we do...likewise G-d has a deal with the Christians to worship him the they do....likewise G-d has a deal with the Muslims to worship him the way they do.
We as humans shouldn't judge or concern ourselves with who is right or who is wrong.....there is no right or wrong here....it is G-d's way. Do not dare judge his ways...that is sacrilegious.
I am proud to be a Jew....You are proud to be a Christian...Muslim's are proud to be Muslim-it should stop at that. Everyone should go in peace and concern themselves more about their own individual relationships with G-d and less with who's religion is right and who's is wrong.

Have faith in yourself, your beliefs and G-d no other religions or practices should concern you....leave that to G-d.

Thanks for sharing your views on my question. Personally, I don't believe in any organized religion "ANYMORE." That does not mean I am an Atheist, it only means I think that "ALL RELIGION," is something I can live without, but that is only for me personally. I do not judge what other people want to believe in, but I am interested in other peoples' views on this question and clearly people have varied and strong feelings about it. Again...Thank you for sharing your opinion.

Thank you. The key to what I'm trying to say is that there is room in this world everybody and their own beliefs....just as long as they don't concern or impose or hurt others into believing what they believe is right.

Only God knows the destination of all people. It's not for us to judge the destination of another person. All I know is that Christ laid his life down for all mankind and anyone who believes in him will have eternal life. All I know is what I believe. I do not know what others believe. At the end of time Almighty God will do the separation of wheat and tariff.

A true christian is going to say Jesus came to the world wearing hebrew flesh.

How does a religion prove anything? By comparison of that religions rules to what god gave the first time to moses. Those rules are nothing like any other rules that came and are perfect in all ways. Rules that came later came from men and not from god, perfectly illustrated by how the later rules prove men love to eslave other people and control them every way possible.

Shalom! Yeshua is not catholic, christian, baptist, methodist! or any other man made religion! Yeshua left as a jewish rabbi and he will return as a jewish messiah! according to Torah,Tanakh, B'rit Hadasha (bible) People needs to start reading the bible for themselves instead of somebody giving them misinformation! please read zechariah 14:16 ! Zechariah 8:22-23 ! it started in Yerushalayim (jerusalem) and it will end in Yerushalayim! Thus saith the Lord! Yeshua did not say to stop doing his father's sabbath's or his Feasts! The Feasts are prophetic!
jerusalem yerushalayim saith lord yeshua fathers sabbaths feasts feasts prophetic

the Jews are God's chosen people since Abraham and will always will be.God will open the eyes of His people and they will see who Jesus really is.Christians are adopted into God's family through faith in Jesus.Jesus said no one comes to heaven but through Him.Jesus came so that anyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.it is wiser to believe than not to.but you can know Him if you seek Him with your whole heart

You can't jump into Judaism with Christianity. To me, Jesus has no meaning and never will....sorry, I answer directly to G-d....for Jesus to exist in the power that you give him means that G-d made a mistake....just like the Muslims say to Christians regarding Mohammed is the true prophet....again, sorry not in my book. Jesus, Mohammed, Burger King...whatever. Believe what you want to believe....but don't enforce it onto others...if G-d wants the entire World to worship the same way, then HE will arrange that....not Humans.

Pope Benedict XVI "Reasserted the primacy of the Roman Catholic Church, approving a document that says other Christian communities either are Defective or Not True Churches and the Catholicism provides the only true path to Salvation." 'The Post and Courier" July 11, 2007. According to the Pope all non-Catholics are out of luck.

Actually I am aware of the Catholic position and when I was a kid I went to an all Catholic school. When I became a man, I went through a large number of Christian denominations and even converted to other religions seeking what was right. Now I do not adhere to any organized religion at all. That does not mean that I do not believe in something, it only means that I do not support organized religion of any kind. I believe in a creator and not any religion.

You have found your own spiritual pathway. To shake off Religious Organizations like the sand from your sandals and find the bliss of freedom. Religious Organizations take away your freedom of thought and freedom of speech. They control what you see, hear, speak and think. To be free of them is to truly appreciate the Lord God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as they were meant to be experienced. Om Mani Padme Hum.

God does not see whether you are religion, Jew, Muslim, Christian, Cathotic,,etc..God see whether you honestly love His Son Jesus with all your heart, mind and soul and that you honestly believe He is your savior. God will Judge everyone single being accordingly Revelation 22: 12 and He alone will determine whether or not you are in the Lamb's Book of Life. Revelation 21: 27..........Peace be with you.............Amen...

Here's the problem "... I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Christians just love stating that the are so special because of this. Yet they refuse to discuss any interpretations other than worshipping Jesus. The way and the life are roads to heaven; emulating Christ. Worship is not mentioned, is it?
  • Jo November 07, 2009 13:39:01

Jesus definitely said that the only way to the Father was through belief in Him, so Christians are pretty adamant on this point. However, God remains the only just Judge. God did have a covenant with the Jews going way back to Abraham. And we never know what God has done to reveal Jesus to any person right up to the moment of death. The Bible also says that God sees us not only as we are, but how we are going to be. Nothing even in the human heart is hid from God. While I believe Jesus is the only answer, Personally, I try to never make definite statements condemning anyone. God is just way too awesome to try to put Him in human terms. I would rather always have hope for all mankind. That's just me.

They all suffer the same end as any non-believer.

Matt 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
Matt. 7 22-23 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord,
Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

lord prophesy cast demons works 23 declare depart workers lawlessness

Thank you for your answer. I have to add, at the risk of sounding biased... your answer has been the most civilized at this point, even though I have only gotten a couple responses thus far. The question honestly was an inquiry and not one to reflect any preference to any of the religions mentioned. I simply wanted to know how people deal with this important factor.

As a qualifier, I don't give it much thought. No one will knowfor sure until we die...thats white its called blind faith. But, Christians believe that Jesus is the son of man and the way to God's kingdom. In order to be saved, one must accept Jesus as their saviour.

I do not believe that those who do not believe in Jesus are condemned to eternal damnation, just that they may not be raised when the time comes.

Ah I see... in my question is did ask that. I am seeking for people to explain the differences in how each one deals with the Jesus belief. I am not sure what the best way to phrase the question should have been, but I will have to see what the responses will be if any. I know it can be a touchy subject for some people. I am just curious how religious people answer the question.
