Exactly. Responsible owners carry so they WON'T have to use them. It's usually when you have no means of defense that you belatedly find the wisdom in being prepared. A responsible owner is "Wise as a serpent, yet harmless as a dove." This dove has fangs, too.

Hey, its fine with me. I think in my state you have to have a weapons permit to carry a gun into certain places, fairgrounds, church, etc. I don't recall anything in the Pauline Letters about leaving your Heat at home.
