Don, I really hate to use that phrase, "get over it." The left uses it so much when they are "victorious". I've come to hate it as being an accusation of 'sour grapes', 'sore loser' and such. I equate it with poor sportsmanship, to boot. Maybe we could just say to gun-haters, "Neither the 2nd Amendment, nor the rights it guarantees, shall be infringed. Yeah, I've heard the song. If the issues here were of a lesser and mundane nature, I would agree that the answer you gave is justified. No sense making mountains out of mole hills, as they say. However, what we are discussing here is the survival of our nation and a fight between the forces who would destroy it and those who would save the Republic. A right not exercised is a right soon lost. Government is that way by nature. Humans are that way by nature.

Regarding the picture of Jesus with the guns, I can think of three things off the top of my head that are wrong with the picture:
1) Making guns was not one of Jesus' miracles, (since there were none in his day.)
2) If using a gun for protection, he would have been on the inside of the house.
But most importantly,
3) Jesus wouldn't need a gun.
