Colt. The original point and click interface.
1) Amendment 2 to the Constitution makes no distinction as to the TYPE of arms to be kept and born by American citizens.
2) It makes no restriction on the class of citizen who might exercise the right.
3) It makes no restrictions as to where that right might be exercised.
4) It makes no case for the requirement of licenses which turn that right into a revocable privilege.
5) It DOES say, "...shall not be infringed" and anyone with even an abridged dictionary should be able to quickly determine the meaning of that word and the intent of the Amendment.
6) When this Amendment was written, the government had the same black powder rifles as the populace. (Thanks to another sodahead for pointing this out.) Now, we are outgunned, even if not outnumbered. And they mean to keep it that way. We must now fight twice as fiercely.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
