This guy is full of it. He promoting his church and using gun rights to do it. Church funding must be down in this economy and he figured out a gimmick to bring in the parishioners. Pass the collection baskets around a few times during the "celebration".

I would say if everyone in the congregation and the pastor are ok with it, who are we too judge? There is way too much judging going on today.

Another example of mixing religion with unrelated things. Another right wing loonie with followers

Imagine Jesus and his apostles armed to the teeth and doing battles against the Romans and Israelites, or killing Pilate and the Priests with the latest in sword technology.

some of the members of our church carry even at church, they are all law enforcement officers, they were asked to wear there private carry when off duty, as they normally do everywhere else.

Well even for an Alaskan like me this seems a little quirky, but hey, as long as the congregation has talked about this and agreed to this; who are we to say what they can or cannot do? I personally would have thought the event would have been more appropriately done separate from the day of worship. (I also think that guns in church have been fairly common in the past in parts of the country.) It has only been in the last 40 years that people have started to get squeamish about guns and attributing mystical powers to them. (Guns kill people---I can picture in my mind a bunch of lawless guns chasing people down dark alleys, running on two little feet stuck out of the stock, black hats perched precariously on the hammer---bad guns, bad!) As for me, I think we don't have enough gun training and instruction going on, and this guy seems to take that point to heart. Good for him.

Guns and SUVs kill people, never mind the people operating them! If they didn't have a gun and they wanted to kill you, they'd just use something else as a weapon. Funny visual, Grandma! love the post

I carry a gun all of the time (concealed as not to frighten the liberals). And if you look at the middle east most of the terrorist attacks are happening in holy places. It makes sense that the next round of attacks here will attack the nations faith. Peace though supperior fire power. holy places attacks attack nations faith peace supperior fire power <A
