So this journalist is doing a story about the modern Catholic Church. While interviewing a priest he notices a gold phone sitting on a nearby table with a small sign next to it.
"Direct line to God - - - $10,000"
"Um, Father...does that phone really work?" The priest concedes that it does. Well the journalist doesn't have that kind of money but decides the story is too good to pass up. So he goes around the country to other churches and finds these gold phones everywhere...their use for a mere $10,000.
Until one day in Dallas Texas at a large Catholic Church he finds another gold phone but this one was for only $25.00.
Startled, the journalist asks the local priest why only $25.00 when all the other churches wanted $10,000?
