The bible has been around longer than all of the other religious texts. The reason why the bible has been able to get passed on generation after generation is because it is God's word, so God has made sure that its been sticking around after all those years because He wants people to read His word.

There are soo many different versions of the bible, and everyone says its true. So how do we know? Talk to God yourself and ask him questions, he will answer them if you listen.

Actually the bible is the most correct book ever written. The old testament which contains hundreds of prophecies was written WAY before the new testament. So far every single prophecy written in the old testament has come out as true, except for the one where Jesus comes back again because obviously he hasn't, but he will someday. For example, there was a prophecy that a virgin would have a son who would save everyone from their sins, which is Jesus, and there is proof that he existed. There were also plenty of witnesses that he rose again after dying on the cross, so really the bible doesnt have any errors.

Also some people think that since the bible has been around for thousdands of years that it's been altered a lot from when it was first written. But archeologists recently found scrolls buried in the middle east and it was the book of Isaiah I think, im not sure but it was one of the books of the bible, and it was thousands of years old. They compared it to the same book in the holy bible and the scrolls were hardly any different to the book of Isaiah that people read today. The bible is God;s word, and He has made sure that the bible has not been changed or contains any erros

i think there is no way the bible is real, something must of happened 2009 years ago for people to still believe it now and for there to be a year (2009) but nothing like the bible says. if the bible was real that must mean god created the earth but how did he become of existance. there is no proof that jesus or anyone else mentioned in the bible has existed. jesus was probaly a drunk who made it all up and walked through a puddle on the way back from the pub and thought he walked on water.

No offense but if Jesus was a drunk he wouldn't have been able to write the bible, have you ever read it? Nobody would take the time to make everything up in the bible. Also, the bible doesn't need to explain how God came into existence because he's everlasting, which means he's been here forever.

God is everlasting so hes always existed, that's just what God is, but if you don't believe in God and believe the world was created by the big bang, then all of the molecules that formed to create the world had to have started somewhere (like God creating them) but if there is no God to create those molecules then how did the molecules randomly get created if everything has to start somewhere? There couldn't have just been nothing in the world, and then randomly a molecule gets created from nothing. Everything must be created from something, except for God.

the bible's untiy. 66 different authors, written in difference literary styles with diverse backgrounds over fifteen hundred years and yet the bible harmoniously has one central message.

the bible's transforming power. , from the very beginning, renewed people, healed people, mentally, given them hope, courage, purpose, wisdom, guidance, and power. if it were common knowledeg that the bible were not real there would be no one here, there would be no fight to fight.

the bible is truth as experienced by the people that wrote it. some of the stories there are clearly mythological (story of genesis), allegorical (story of jonah), etc. some are clearly historical and some, while not literal history, serve to teach a truth about God.
