No. Why? I can read Genesis. It does not put it that way and makes it look as though evolution is a best explanation of what happened. I suspect most do not read it and just assume they know what it says.
Imaginary?.....If you open you door you'll see a thing called a universe and another thing called the earth...really open your door and look around....if you don't see anthing then you must be imaginary.
Of course God could create the earth in 6 days, there are no limits to His awesome power! However, there have always been those who say that time is nothing to God so a day could have been a thousand years. I think that's ok to believe, too.
"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 2 Peter 3:8
God's statement in, "And the evening and the morning were the first day." Represents a unique point, in that He shows us that creation was indeed one earth day. By the way God created the world in 6 days the 7th day He rested.
Impossible. When God created the the "DAYS" as you call it, there was no time. The Bible refers to the word day not as a 24 hour period as the Christian Bibles state. The Christian Bibles came hundreds of years later and were inerpreted incorrectly by Saint Jerome in 1611. The King James Bible was written in Latin but Jerome made a horrible mistake. All of the Old testament was originally written 2300 years ago in HEBREW. His translation of the word DAY is the word YOM in the original Hebrew text. YOM means...an unlimited..extended..period of time. There was never a 24 hour day. Besides why would God be in such a hurry to throw things together in 144 hours? Didn't happen. Oh one more thing, We are still in the 7th YOM...God is still resting and watching.
With your statements you are calling Christ a liar, for God never lies! In John 5:45–47, Jesus says, “Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” In this passage, Jesus makes it clear that one must believe what Moses wrote. And one of the passages in the writings of Moses in Exodus 20:11 states: “For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
I guess your screen name suits you. You have no idea the gravity of what you have just done to yourself. But again, you are way too young with no life experience not even being out of high school yet. I am aware that a way for the young to get attention is to curse and be vulgar. One day you will wake up, when you mature.
The sad thing is you're a full grown adult who believes there's an invisible man who is so petty as to take serious offense to the facetious internet cursing of a teenager who doesn't even believe he exists, and you probably never will grow up from your fantasy.
But isn't it cool how that picture of the growler dude, looks like he's saying 'nooooooooooooo'? Honestly, I was originally looking for an epic fail picture, or of a mock of religion picture.
I believe there are just some things that can never be answered and we will just have to wait and find out. Kind of like the end of times--when is it? As Jesus said, "Only the Father knows". We will find out when it happens.
True but we are given the abilities to unwrap and search for truth and evidence that helps build our faiths. I think God wants us to learn about who He is.
actually the bible isn't proof...it's just a book...and no I don't have have proof he/she doesn't exist...but really...do you have any idea how improbable it is?
What improbability is that? It's called faith. "With faith the size of a mustard seed you can move mountains". What I don't understand is why you non-believers are so hell bent on debunking someones religion... Even Spock had an higher power..
so you have faith...woo...let's have a look at the meaning of faith, shall we?
belief and trust in and loyalty to God : belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion : firm belief in something for which there is no proof : complete trust : something that is believed especially with strong conviction; especially : a system of religious beliefs
'firm belief in something for which there is no proof'
very nice don't you think?
and as for 'What I don't understand is why you non-believers are so hell bent on debunking someones religion'
heh....we aren't hell bent...all we do is state our opinion...I guess you have a problem with that, considering that's all I did...
No way.
But then the Jewish tribal god is fictional, and didn't "create" anything.
No way.
Yes He can do anything He wants!
No way.

noooooooooooooooooo
fuck god.
THERE IS NO GOD. FUCK GOD.
I think I will go sacrifice a goat and claim that one evil dude, as my savior. Yeah.
go fuck yourself, 'bobbie'.
I've wondered about that...not sure.
Yes He can do anything He wants!
No way.
Before you ask, no I have no physical evidence other than the bible and my "faith" that God exist...
What I don't understand is why you non-believers are so hell bent on debunking someones religion... Even Spock had an higher power..
When something is harmful, activists opposed to it undertake activism against it. Pretty simple concept, really.
Tell that to the people at Ford Hood, Texas, USA tonight.
You said you didn't understand something, I explained it. If you don't understand my explanation, then ask for clarification.
