The parents maintained that the posting was just a joke gone awry. Investigators agreed, dropping their probe into possible child trafficking. "Offering my nearly new baby for sale, as it has gotten too loud. It is a male baby, nearly 28 inches long and can be used either in a baby carrier or a stroller," read the original eBay ad that ran on May 24. As oil prices continue to break records, the nation's six leading airlines have announced capacity cuts for 2008, trimming flights in major hubs and cutting off service to dozens of discount destinations. All told, the industry will cut capacity by 9% in 2008. Experts are also expecting more fare increases. Tom Parsons, travel pricing expert at BestFares.com, said airlines have imposed about a dozen fare increases or fuel surcharges since the end of last year. For any of you that saw the EliteXC MMA Kimbo vs. James Thompson fight, it seemed that the fight may have been fixed. Thompson was beating Kimbo in almost all regards for a large majority of the fight. Then, all of a sudden, the fight was called because Thompson's cauliflower ear "popped" and some blood was seen on the side of his head. Moderate-Hardcore fans of EliteXC believe that this fight was called because the success of the entire Kimbo campaign rests on his remaining virtually undefeated. Do you think that the Kimbo Slice vs. James Thompson fight was fixed?

Countrywide CEO Executive Angelo Mozilo angered a lot of people when he accidentally hit the "reply" button instead of the "forward" button when referring to an email sent by a customer as 'disgusting.' The customer was trying to ask for lower payment rates, as he was on the verge of losing his home of 16 years. Mozilo's reply was: "This is unbelievable. Most of these letters now have the same wording. Obviously they are being counseled by some other person or by the Internet. Disgusting." An Air Canada jetliner made an emergency landing in Calgary on Thursday after nine people aboard were injured when the Airbus A319 hit turbulence during a cross-country flight, an official said. "It happened very fast," one unidentified female passenger told the media at the airport. "One side of the plane just went up a little bit sideways and then just went back down. Our friend was really hurt. ... She flew up and hit the ceiling and went back down." Who is to blame for this accident? The pilot, who is unable to avoid an extremely turbulent patch of airspace or the passengers who are not wearing their seatbelts?

An international panel of two dozen former pilots and government has called on the U.S. government to reopen its UFO investigation as a matter of safety given that reports about "sightings" are ceaseless. The panelists from seven countries, including former senior military officers, said they had each seen a UFO or conducted an official investigation into UFO phenomena. Former presidents Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter are both reported to have claimed UFO sightings. Most turn out to be misidentified aircraft, satellites or meteors. In a major upset, Sabrina Bryan was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars 5, despite being one of, if not the, best dancers. People Magazine calls this “possibly the biggest upset in the show’s history,” but Sabrina told the magazine, “I’m not bitter. I’ve made some great friendships here and I’ve had the best time. This was an amazing opportunity for me and I feel so lucky to have gone this far.” Another quote from dancer Anna Trebunskaya said, “It’s a big shock and a big loss for Dancing With the Stars. She was one of the best performers on the show ever. I think the show might suffer a little bit because the level of dancing will go down. It’s so sad that America didn’t vote for the best dancer. She was so clearly the best." The point is, regardless of Sabrina's skill, she was voted off. Is this fair??
