I am in a bit of a pickle. During the summer two of my best friends recently came out and told me that they were gay and dating each other. I was naturally a bit shocked at first but soon got over it. When school started all our friends were cool with it and they haven't had any problems with our group of friends.
Then one of them, lets call him Bob, told me that one of his teachers was failing him cause he was gay. After first I was shocked cause he was my friend and I didn't get why someone would do that. However, I soon found out that it was actually because he hadn't turned in any assignments. So I just blew it off.
The second time he told me that one of our favorite teachers told him off in front of everyone for you guessed it, being gay. Again I was a bit peeved. I didn't think that my favorite teacher would do that. And she didn't. She did tell him, however, that she didn't approve of him making out with my other friend in front of her. She is actually really old fashioned but she accepted them as being gay. She doesn't approve of PDA. She gets after couples who make out anywhere near her all the time.
So now every time someone makes does something "rude" or is "mean" to my friend Bob he immediately says its because he's gay and wants to know why people just can't accept him the way he is. I don't know how to tell him that people are nasty to him not because he's gay but because he can be very nasty and doesn't like to follow rules without him blowing up at me.
