It is the first Presidential Fist Bump on record. In addition to the traditional kiss on the cheek and hug, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle pounded fists in celebration of Barack's winning the 2008 Democratic Primary.

What is the issue? Who cares if he fist bumped or tongue kissed his wife? Is there a particular way to be jubilant when winning something; especially something a prestigous a presidential nomination? Who is to say that it's right or wrong? Who cares? -

Everyone does it! It shows solidarity between friends co-workers and military brothers stating that they are strong and united for the cause. America needs to wake up and take back this great country of ours!! The Bush "BrotherHood" and those who supported him and his croanies including McCain need to realize that this country was built on the blood sweat and tears of the american workers and that the Republicans are trying to erase the middle class and the working familes of America. Vote for Obama - give him 4 years to see what he can do for the US. People when Bush stole the election to get elected the 1st time the United States of America had a Budget Surplus and gas was 1.87 a gallon after Bush took over {He has to be the dumbest President we have ever had} - gas prices rose and rose and rose and we're now in another Huge deficit and nothing was paid back to us for helping rebuild a country. A country who is rich in Oil and has billions of dollars doesn't pay for anything The USA pays for everything over there and look what shape our Country is in!!! -

My buddies and I do this and it has nothing to do with where you are from. This is just another form of expressing comraderary. I do think Obama may want to keep the "bumping" to a min now that eveyones watching for it.
Some had commented "cute", in this case cute does best describe the moment between wife and husband.
Dont you think Bush bumped a few fists during meet and greets with soldiers in Iraq? I bet they did, though 99% saluted. ;)

Do you really care about what is being called a fist bump ? If this is what is on your mind then you need to get a life. The only thing that is important is that you vote for Obama. He is the only person that has a clue about what this country needs. McWar, McBush, McInsane, McCant, Mclame, McCain or whatever you want to call him is an idiot. Finaly, do not hate Obama for being a true American and if you are a racist just say so. -
If experience just means someone who has been around a long time then McWar or any other politican that is over 60 is the man for you. It is a shame that you have been fooled into believing that McBush will restore America. I will pray for you and all the other misguided citizen who are unwilling to accept and embrace change.

I agree I don't find anything cute in the fist bump.A thumbs up is cute . This was as disrespectful as the fist raised representing Black Power back in the 60's olympics (Ali,THEN C CLAY) He was a great fighter but why the insult.?? -
