Was Sen Obama just tired again?

"When Kennedy Met With Khrushchev, We Were On The Brink Of Nuclear War."

That is Sen. Barack Obama from today's incredible press conference where the Illinois senator combined petulance and ignorance in an unnerving display of just how unqualified he is to be Commander-in-Chief

For the record, Kennedy and Khrushchev met in Vienna in June of 1961. We were not on the brink of nuclear war. The Cuban Missile Crisis was 15 months in the future.

Answered He scares me with his lack of knowledge.

I am absolutely amazed that his supporters seem to have no problem with his gaffs and lack of knowledge. He scares the hell outta me - he is the least suitable candidate that I have seen in many years with the worst ideas for our Nation. It makes no sense to me at all - Sen Clinton has worlds of better experience and so does Sen McCain. I don't let people take care of my dog or cat who don't have experience and knowledge.

His next blooper cover-up will involve announcing a Sweetie to stick in the VP position. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if in his little mind he thinks all the Clinton supporters will just flock over to his side if he gets himself a woman VP. The great appeaser strategy! If he tries that condescending crap it will really throw me off the deep end.

The Vienna Summit was about Berlin, not nuclear war.

1961 Vienna Summit - President Kennedy and Soviet Premier Khrushchev met at a summit conference in Vienna on June 4. The meetings covered a whole range of items, including Laos, disarmament and general issues of ideology. More than anything else, however, the main issue on the agenda was Berlin. Khrushchev was threatening to sign a peace agreement with East Germany that might impinge on the rights of the West. Progress was made on Laos, but on other matters, the two leaders clashed.

At a final meeting with Kennedy, Khrushchev stated: "Force will be met by force. If the US wants war, that's its problem." "Its up to the US to decide whether there will be war or peace." "The decision to sign a peace treaty is firm and irrevocable, and the Soviet Union will sign it in December if the US refuses an interim agreement." Kennedy responded: "Then, Mr. Chairman, there will be a war. It will be a cold winter."

Quite possibly it was a very secret meeting held in one of the 57 states! Ok, g'bye to dumb, make room for dumber. At least Bush is not that stupid. If this was not such a serious time in our country with 2 wars, terrorism, and other posing threats, Obama might be a really funny joke, but not now. He is a train wreck.
  • raves +3   [-] by shadow
I am so glad you returned! ...57 states.... I did find that one a test to see who was paying attention.... Ya... he is gonna be a lot more than a train wreck.... but hey..... he will be special in that he will be the first black president... stupid as all get out.... but president non-the-less....

This race is not about knowledge or experience... it is about color.

Yeah, I keep looking at the movie Blazing Saddles to see if there is anything at all I can learn from it. So far, all I can do is laugh.

Wasn't he born in like 1989? He's just as likely to be guest starring on the next "Girls Gone Wild" video as he is to be president.

  • raves +3   [-] by grappler
I think the paranoia is coming from the blind people that think that because I talk change after 8 years of being a mess, is all i want to hear and they are putting our country at risk. Obama is just not qualified for the job, he is disrespectful, arrogant, and have no judgment for choosing who his associates are.

The issue here is ... if he becomes the president, his job is not 9 to 5... he is responsible for our nation

So being tired is not an excuse.

    he is an idiot!

He was only responding to the Bush nazi appeaser comment, which was totally uncalled for.
  • raves +3   [-] by Jackie G
Thanks for responding. You do realize that neither he or the Democrats were even named. The only person talked about was a 1939 congressional loon who said that if he had just been able to talk with Hitler there would have been no war. Now if Obama thinks that he and this loon are the same - well, it seems either egotistical or stupid. I think he just got stung because he knows his proposed policy of unconditional talk with people who supply killers of American soldiers and who wants to eradicate Israel and kill all the people there is just plain bad. Now he has a big bright light shining on his ridiculous policy and he has to defend this nonsense. So he goes out and lies in his speech as well as saying the above. Incredible!
  • raves +1   [-] by edmo
Well in my view it did seem directed at the Dems and Obama.
  • raves +4   [-] by Jackie G
Actually, President Bush was assuring the Israel Knesset ( their congress, hence their nation) that we were still behind them. They knew that and gave him a standing ovation. He said the same things in February of this year and many times before - foreign policy, that is his job. I thought he was talking about that dolt Carter.
Would have been smarter for Obama to say he agreed or at least ignore it. Oh well, he left a big opening for McCain and it looks like McCain is taking good advantage of it.
  • raves +1   [-] by edmo
This is something that will be talked about for awhile,so get ready.

Answered No, he just doesn't know history.

Just for Obama to think the president was talking about him when he was addressing the Knesset, Israeli parliament, is beyond arrogant - egotistic -its megalomaniacal. The end of the address "It's clear Hamas isn't interested in peace or helping the people of Gaza lead better lives," Bush said "Political goals will never be achieved by launching rocket
