Indian Baby Drop--What do you think of this strange 500 year old ritual?

This is footage from an actual CNN report on the 500 year old Indian(yes, the ones who live in India) ritual of dropping babies from a tower. The observants believe it makes them stronger and brings them luck in life.

    Well, that's their culture. It's not for us to judge. I'd imagine that they have the actual baby toss down to a science. I think if the babies were dying left and right the tradition would have died off long ago.
