Father Keeps Daughter Hostage in Basement for 24 Years, Fathers 7 Kids With Her and Repeatedly Rapes Her: What should his punishment be?
Yeah... this story is absolutely TERRIBLE. Im really speechless. This guy locked up his 20 year old daughter in his basement, raped her repeatedly, and fathered 7 of her children. He let 3 of the kids live above ground (with no knowledge of their mother locked in the cellar), while 3 of the others stayed with their mother (never to see the light of day until recently). The other child died shortly after child birth.The woman got very sick, and her father had to take her to the hospital where she eventually told hospital workers about her situation, thus leading to her and her childrens' liberation.
What do you guys think should be done to this monster?

I remember you saying it takes a lot to get you angry. This one is something that gets you angry, and should be but people get angry about the stupidest things. This one is a real thing to be angry about, just like someone like Hiter is a good thing to get angry about. I'm impressed with you, you have your priorities straight, which is seldom seen in this loony bin I seem to be in. -

With no chance of parole. If he tries to escape, lock him up in a mental ward. I would love to say give him the death penalty, but he needs to know years of isolation and torment! His wife (the woman's mother) didn't even know the woman was being kept down there. She was told the woman just dropped the kids off because she couldn't take care of them. What a bunch of bull. -

The word death comes to mind a lot as I read everyone else's comments. I don't think there is a punishment that is good enough for him. if he dies, then he has no idea what his daughter and those children went through. Who is to say that he didnt rape the kids that lived above ground? On the other hand, torture just wouldn't do it either unless it is a daily, lifelong torture. Id lock him up in a hole like his daughter was in and send random bruiser men in there to repeatedly rape him, using whatever devices and means possible, but not enough to make him die from it. Perhaps shave a toenail off a day with a torch and a set of needle nosed pliers. Pull each pub hair off with tweezers, one by one. I could go on... -

he is a sick f**k and deserves to be shreaded into peices and his remains fed to starving dogs i hope he rots forever for what he has done then be chucked into an incinerator like that poor baby who didnt even get a chance at life and he threw it away like it had no value at all who does that!!! -

I saw this story on Newsnight last Friday...it is scary-his wife was told she ran away-he fathered 7 children with her and then the wife and he adopted these children.
In Austria, they do not make criminal records available to other agencies, so the one that okay'd all of these adoptions had no idea he had a rape charge/conviction against him from when he was younger.
This case may just change their policy on that, and if any good can come from this horrible, sick episode, it will be that! -

What kind of a person would do that to their own daughter.He doesn't even deserve to be put in jail.Im happy she's free,but can you imagine the all the pain she went through?If that was me I'd probably kill myself,I'd never be able to go thropugh that and want to survive.
