Around the US, and I'm sure worldwide, everyone has a different name for soft drinks. Here, we just call it soda...other places call it pop....what's your name for it?
I say the full name like mountain dew, coke, Dr.pepper but I guess If your looking for a generic name I would say coke, but I don't call mountain dew coke

I'm from the North and call it pop but when I'd lived in the South for a while they'd say "You want me to hit you?" Still pop it is-which by the way is my husbands best friends nickname !!!AKWARD@%*!!!

Go West Coast!!! When I was really little I called it pop though because my mom's from Pennsylvania. As soon as I started school I learned that it's called soda out here.

I grew up in Colorado, where people called it "Soda". Now, I live in Wyoming and people call it "Pop". It bugs me. I don't know why. I either feel like everyone else is saying it wrong, or I am.

Answered Soda
Out West, I grew up learning to call it "Soda" and never "Pop". Can you imagine, PopHead?
