Emo music is just a bad rip off of punk. Some have kept the insane guitar. But the singing....... sucks.Personally I think that punk has been dormant, not dead. Even though there arent many bands putting out material like the clash and other bands. There is still that select group of people who will always listen to their punk music. Esentially making it alive.

But the other bands are pretty good.
Punk-- the whole movement was a big thing back then.
Right now, it's not the same.
They had a purpose for playing like shit -- they didnt care what they sounded like.
You play like shit nowadays, and no one's going to like you.
Well, no I cant say that cuz a lot of bands sound like shit and they have a lot of fans for some reason...
But the thing now is to actually play good.
Like in Metal.

You can't kill punk! What other kind of music has had the staying power and, even though it came out about the same time disco did, is still played on modern channels. If you want disco you have to go to an oldies station!!!
