This song is so special because it is the song that got me into the band. I have never stopped loving them since 1992 (or about then).

All the songs have elements, tones, and lyrics that I can draw from and be inspired. These songs are why I chose to learn to play instruments and begin to record b/c they are deeper than just songs, they are timeless.

    Heavy

The most amazing opening riff, and great song. I always enjoy when it comes on at a concert me and my friends dance to the whole thing. It's the best feeling :) Thanks you guys!

    The World I Know

I burst into *tears* the first time I saw the video for this song - it's sad, but it's hopeful and the symbolism in it is unbeatable. I love CS, and this is my favorite song by them. :-)

    Heavy

I chose Heavy because no matter what my mood, it can always get me going and by the end of the song I am again happy and singing. I have not found a CS sound I do not like. They all have a different meaning in my life. I only wish they would tour in my area...they have been on my "#1 band I would like to see" list forever!

I think that Run is the greatest of all of their songs...It puts me in a dreamlike state, and the solo is hypnotic.....

    The World I Know

The World I Know has influenced me the most because, aside from the fact that it is an absolutely beautiful song, it reminds me, every time I hear it, that the world is sick, but not hopeless, and that love and genuine compassion are the only cures. I love Collective Soul for helping me to see that. Thanks guys.
