A damning New Republic expose on Ron Paul shows the “libertarian” Republican candidate to be a racist, a homophobe and an anti-Semite. Will his diehard supporters continue to defend a man who called Martin Luther King a gay pedophile? Daniel Koffler, a former Paul sympathizer, has a compendium of the Texas congressman’s creepiest hits, pulled straight from his decades-old newsletter.

It is testimony that no one has anything credible to bring to bear against Ron Paul when they pull this out, it is not like this is breaking news, it was discussed when Ron Paul was running for Congress the second time, it did not seem to effect his election then. So are you (Pajama's Media) and the New Republic, insulting the Texas District as Racists or just plain stupid?

Never has anyone made a complaint about Ron Paul saying anything, in or out of office, never has he refused to treat a minority while a doctor, and he would offer severely discounted and free health care for people that do not have insurance, but the New Republic would make the claim that he is a racist...

It is really sad that the Red Queen's willing subjects and Obama's sociocrat league eat this up like candy, knowing full well that their beloved socialist Icons have so many skeletons that anything that is a distraction is welcome I suppose...

Ron Paul has addressed this many times and never is enough times for people looking for something to attack him on and always coming up empty other than this...

And well believe Nelson E. Linder, if you want to deny everyone else... What does the Austin NAACP President have to gain by claiming a racist isnot a racist?

why go on the attack of Ron Paul? is it that people are beginning to realize that McCain has a real reason to worry...that there is another Repub candidate that will be there until the end.. that the Revolution is still strong? i only wonder how many people will believe this mumbo jumbo.. and not look further into the issue... they are all over this site... type in Ron Paul polls and see for yourselves...... also... i do not view this article as "the truth" as some may..... i want someone to show me live footage.... where and when RP spoke these words..... no one has risen to the challenge yet!!!!! nice try!

Well, I've been shocked by this...of course, unfortunately, these quotes are what circles in the mind of a number of Americans today, despite what racial group people belong to. What a hateful planet we exist on; however, at one time I was no better as I was a misanthrope.

Edit: Actually, if he really said this, then why hasn't this been reported? I'm kinda 'iffy' if he said this or not when I think about it.

“libertarian” first off is not an accurate label for this man. Because he believes in our constitution and is outspoken that government should follow it. Does not make him a libertarian. And before assuming that Daniel Koffler is being truthful and accurate. I would have to consider the questions why is this man a former Paul sympathizer? What are his motives for making such strong accusations?

Ron Paul is probably not the best voice of the Libertarian movement but then again John McCain is not the best representative for Republicans....Barack Obama however very accurately represents the Democratic party.

Wants to give amnesty to illegals. Obama followers ALWAYS fall back oh he/she is a racist and just wants to bring hatred. Isn't it the Dems that are having a party for their daughter who is back in the limelight. We need to really hit all the candidates with questions that are important to us. Wow Carrie, either you missed it or you are not utilizing all of your resources. I'm always going into "urban" areas trying to be inspirational, but sometimes people are so broken they think I'm lying when everything I say to them (regarding healthcare, school, jobs, etc) is true and right there for them. If you don't believe me go to: http://www.prospect.org/csnc/... . Critics expect Obama to help citizens change America just by being a senator, but the truth is there is this little "hitch" known as due process derived from the CONSTITUTION. Change will take time. Our beautiful system is made up of checks and balances for a reason.

None of these are my favorite quotes!! This man is an undercover KKK!! First of all, the 4 different newsletters that these quotes appear in, bare his name as the owner of the newsletter. The 4 newsletters were in circulation for almost 20 years, in his hometown, where he lived. I don't care how busy he was in 20 years, if he wasn't going to have time to check out what his employees were putting in print then he had some 20 years to pull the plug on the newsletters. Obviously he was ok with the type of racism and bigotry his newsletters were circulating, cause he continued to allow them to circulate. Now he claims he didn't write them as a way of trying to hide his involvement with these newsletters. Isn't that what the KKK tried to do with the white sheets over their heads. Hide the fact of who they were that were spreading racial hatred.

Normally I take candidates to task for being intolerant. But this is the 'New Republic' talking so I'm taking it all with a rather large grain of salt. This is an old Republican establishment rag with zero credibility in either race relations or gay issues. It's important to consider the source of such material before I swallow it whole and without question.

That's beacuse big biz is not allowing the mass media to even mention his name..
He is honest and forth right. He has been married for fifty years to the same woman. has never voted himself a pay raise, turns down the lucrative congressional pension program and gives money back to the american people each year from his budget. Rudy and thompson are aduterous males with trophy wives, not very republican or conservative, Huckabee is too racist against non-believers and will make bush look like an Atheist once elected. Mitt is gonna make soooo much money for his business interest if he gets elected and will bring more big biz into Govt. And Mc Cain is too stiff and has some serious mental trauma left over from his five years in captivity. Ron Paul is the only one who tells the truth all the time, He is kind and affable. He understands that life begins at conception, but also understands the different mindsets in the different states and will allow each state to decide the legality of it in their own borders. He wants to secure our borders bring our fighting men home and put us on a path to true economic solvency. Do away with unconstitutional IRS and take away the central bankers profit from printing and inflating our money. How can he not be America's choice? Not to mention giving control back to "WE THE PEOPLE" and take back our Govt from thieves and war mongers. Please help elect this TRUE AMERICAN and get the for profit cronies out of my ass.

You make good points... but it seems you have come to your conclusion via order of elimination, and you're not weighing his bad sides, the way you do against the other candidates, the ones you don't seem to approve of. It doesn't seem like you are weighing the pro's and con's equally for all the candidates.. (but maybe that's just how I read into your answer)
  • +2 / -1 raves [-] Craig W_C January 10, 2008 02:54:37
I don't see Congressman Ron Paul having any bad side. I've read over 10years worth of his writings " Ron Pauls FREEDOM REPORTS " while he has been in office. The major media mis- quotes him, they do not give him any air time other than to try and make him look crazy.
I know what the man stands for and it's not Bigger & more expensive government.
He is for a Constitutionally limited Government. All these other politicians take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution and the make votes that will ultimately make it null & void. I say it's time to take our country back. Ron Paul will do just that . VOTE RON PAUL !!!!

Obama is not the only Democrat to run on the notion of "change, being an outsider and integrity over experience"--this was Jimmy Carter's image when he won the presidency. Carter ran on this because he did not have as much experience as his oponent. His presidency, was a mess. Yeah, he did a good job with the peace accord --but that was it. His presidency was marked by recession, long gas lines, and even worst 12 YEARS OF REPUBLICAN RULE followed. Change, being an outsider and integrity are wonderful--but lack of experience can lead to disaster.
