I depend on the government for certain things, and I fear the government from encroaching on my rights. Every time we give the government power to protect us or give us something, the government has to take something to accomplish this. Either it takes our money or our rights.

If we want to stop hate speech, we outlaw some forms of speech. If we want the gov't to provide healthcare, we need to pay the tax and may lose the option for private healthcare motivated by profit.

You are obviously in total darkness when it comes to knowing what the people want. The general deserves an apology. You need to know that his job wasn't gotten by paying for it like yours. He earned his position through hard work(real work). You are disgusting in you arrogant posture.

It was suggested I come here and tell this bitch to go fuck herself for demanding being called by her title. Seeing as I've never liked her and am very upset anyone would vote her to represent them.....blah blah blah. MA'AM, you can go fuck yourself.

I checked education because she needs to get one.
Below is my note to her:

    Hey BABS
You are certainly a nervy one to talk down to one of our military as you did the Brigadier General. "Call me Senator."
Do you think that man didn't work hard defending our country to get his title? Do you think that we don't pay your salary and perks?
It would serve you right if your voters voted you out in the next election. You give women in office and high places a dirty name. It's no wonder women have it rough in the world with female genders such as you are.
You owe this man a written public apology on all networks and FOX News included for me to forgive you. We won't ever forget your bullish and "my crap don't stink" behavior to that man in our armed services.
    Shame on you.

Just like a gear, to try and turn everyone's internals.

I would have to say, that the most basic of all liberties, given to the people of the USA, is also the most neglected, at times.

It is just fine for the Recording Industry Association of America, to take 1.9 million dollars, from a working woman with 4 children, only to later pass that debt down to them, right after they get done grieving over her eventual death.

The Recording Industry Association of America is the trade group that represents the U.S. recording industry?
Words from the mouth of the beast:
“We appreciate the jury's service and that they take this as seriously as we do. We are pleased that the jury agreed with the evidence and found the defendant liable. Since day one, we have been willing to settle this case and we remain willing to do so.”

It is greatly accepted, to punish the children of those who are made example of, by the MPAA and RIAA. Millions of people in this nation download music every day, time for someone besides Apple, to make a profit off of it!

I love the logic behind this unstoppable machine.
I love the facade that is this false utopia, we call humanity.

This answer is the closest...........my REAL concern is the ballooning federal bedget and the national debt. We're spending more than we'll ever have. We're going to put our children, grandchildren, and great grand children in debt as well. Until we get the finances of this country back in order, wipe out the debt, and shrink the size and scope of the federal government down to its Constitutional boundaries, then we have no business promoting or financing any more 'social' programs or imaginary wars.

Since you are opposed to receiving respect, ma'am, I will not offend you by offering it. You have brought great shame and much disgrace to your office, "Senator." (And I use the term loosely.) To restore your honor and dignity, an apology followed by your resignation would go a long way. You won't do this, however, because you are too busy putting mileage on your broom.

    Good Evening, Ma'am,

You may notice that I use the 'correct' military term. After over 20 years in the US Navy as first an enlisted woman, then earning my commission, it is military protocol to address you with this term of respect.

I haven't heard much from you in the past few years. Most notably, you became silent when your views on illegal aliens was met with stiff opposition and you more or less went underground in promulgating your interest in amnesty for illegals and ensuring federal and state tax dollars were funneled into the education, bi-lingual initiatives, amnesty and social programs for these illegal aliens.

In my opinion, you have more than helped, I'd say, and pushed your state into the financial meltdown it is experiencing.

You speak of civil rights and want to grant rights to those that are in our county illegally. You Madam, are trying to pad your voter base and pander to the likes of "The National Coalition for Dignity and Amnesty" and thus you know you will receive their endorsement and vote.

While the rest of America is losing more rights and the Constitution is being further shredded before our eyes, you waited, Ma'am, like a spider spinning a web for your ideals to come around again with this election.

You cannot be accused of anything except two faced political hacking. Pandering shamelessly to those that support amnesty while removing the legitimate rights of those Americans and those that chose to come to this country legally.

I've heard many make assertions that illegal aliens are choosing not to come to America because of the financial meltdown seen in America and your state in general.

That simply isn't true. More come, daily with the hope of amnesty and the help of the social programs that this administration is attempting to push on the American people.

It's votes. And you are a part of that. You are looking for votes and are looking after your own political career. Nothing more.

  • [-] NotWith... Cyde_dish June 25, 2009 02:31:43
    Isn't that the truth!!!!!

For God's sake, it's amazing. The paybacks we are seeing on a daily basis are staggering. There isn't any pretense of qualifications. Does every President/Congressman/Senator pay back? Yes... But to tax cheats? Lobbyists going against their own legislation? People with no earthly idea how to run a business?

It's lunacy. Czar this, Czar that.. No oversight. Hiding behind interpretation of the law. Making new words to speak the same old rhetoric. Bailing out IMF and wanting more .... MORE... regulatory control given to the FED? That wouldn't even use the discretionary power to hold Fannie and Freddie to the fire due to politics?

The Fed doesn't answer to anyone. And they certainly have fallen on their sword.

Sorry for the rant.. I'm just sick about this stuff.

I wonder why you could not give the general the same respect he was giving you when he called you "Ma'am," which is a title of respect. What I have seen from you, Nancy Pelosi, President Obama and other left-wing Democrats is arrogant elitism. I will never sign up to be a "friend" of you or any other politician who has such obvious contempt for the values this country was founded upon and for our Constitution.

Senator Boxer, et al, I am extremely disillusioned with you and the rest of your croanies. You rudely insist onbeing called Senator, by a 5 Star General, who out ranks you in position and class.

California is falling apart at the seams. What, if anything, have you done to help?

I do not support a bailout. I think if we sent all the illegals home, and immediately stopped providing benefits of any kind to them, the money saved would equal California's deficit.

Now, you will call me a racist, or say that I cannot handle diversity. The opposite is true. I welcome diversity. I think America became great by all the cultures melding and blending into the American fabric. I favor legal immigration.

Our jails, prisons, and hospitals all run into financial havoc due to the problems thatcome from illegals. I choose not to say undocumented, because that somehow seems to imply they have done nothing wrong. They have broken our law. We cannot pick and choose which laws to enforce. The law must be evenly applied across the board. That includes immigration law.

Pass more legislation, if you can, to make it easier to enter legally, but we must stop illegal immigration. Now, before it's too late.

Respectfully Senator, we the people who have allowed you to sit in chairs we have given to you, the General you addressed, the other day saying to him "can you please address me by senator, i have worked so hard for it" true you might have, but it was an embarrassment to many of us when you seemed to be quite hypocritical in your disregard to return the respect and call him General, the constant double standard we have been witnessing has got to come to an end.
