We must reveal the true Obama to blacks! I received this today. This is legitimate. Your thoughts?
**Obama can win - unless we reveal the true Obama to blacks!
Our radio ad about the Boston Globe investigation exposes Obama as a corrupt slum lord!
Help us air our radio ad in key battleground states on radio stations that target black voters. Tests of our ad show that blacks who know the truth about Obama declare they will not vote for him.
That's why we must act immediately to air our proven radio ad to educate black voters about the real Obama. Our ad causes blacks to ask: If Obama's messianic message of "hope and change" is so powerful, why are the poor people in Chicago still poor? Here is the text of the ad:
_____________
Narrator:
Obama claims he cares about poor blacks, but a Boston Globe report exposed how for eight years Obama supported slum projects in Chicago.
Poor blacks living in rat and roach infested apartments condemned Obama for not caring about them.
Cynthia Ashley, a fourteen-year resident said: "No one should have to live like this, and no one did anything about it."
Anthony Frizzell a twenty-year resident said: "In the winter I can feel the cold air coming through the walls and the sockets."
Sharee Jones who has lived for years with the rats said: "You could hear them under the floor and in the walls, and they didn't do nothing about it."
Paul Johnson who helped organize a protest against Obama said: "Of course he knew. He just didn't care."
Showing he just didn't care, Obama wrote letters on Illinois Senate letterhead supporting government loans for slum projects.
Obama coauthored the Illinois law that gave tax breaks to his slum lord friends, including now convicted felon Tony Rezko who helped Obama buy a million-dollar house.
As a US Senator, Obama worked to increase federal subsidies for his slum lord pals who donated more than $175,000 to Obama's campaigns with Rezko raising another $200,000.
While running for president, Obama is promising to create a fund that gives his slum lord buddies $500 million a year. This is outrageous.
Learn the truth.

I think that I am very offended. Not by Obama, but by the direction of this question. The majority of Black People do not live in the slums. The slums are occupied by all races. The generalizations that I have been hearing is sickening. I am black and I have NEVER lived in the slums. Why would you think that this would have mattered primarily to the black race?????? -
raves 5 days ago (edited)Give it a break. Slums are not only heavily occupied by black loafers (not a reference to a shoe style) but are also PREOCCUPIED with them and their welfare doles. Why else would Peggy Joseph actually think whatever it is she thinks?:
Talk about the "poster child" of American liberals. -

Senator Obama is an amazing man. You may disagree with him because you are conservative, but I don't understand how people can think he is a bad person.
I wish the McCain campaign could get by on positive ads and positive speeches. It is sad when people have to resort to hate and mudslinging. It is even more sad when voters believe such negative propaganda -
raves +2 Oct 30, 2008 05:11PM GMT>>I don't understand how people can think he is a bad person.
You don't? Do yourself a favor, do some research on that man. But go to the real sources, not the left wing media.
It's not negative propaganda.. people are trying to find the truth about him. The TRUTH that the ones behind him have been trying so hard to hide. -
raves -1 Nov 03, 2008 07:02AM GMTWhat research have you turned up that says Obama is a bad man? You talk about The TRUTH, but you offer nothing to support whatever biased truth you are putting out there. What some of you Obama bashers are not getting; and the reason he is winning is because the American people can detect the difference between truth and propaganda. Most of us want to talk issues. You and McCain are losing because all you offer is unsubstantiated allegations and potshots at Obama and no solutions whatsoever to resolve issues facing Americans. Americans are rejecting these negative and ludicrous attacks and if you are too dense to realize that - take a look at the polls.

It's so sad that this man has been using the black American people for his purposes and they are allowing him to do it. It's a real tragedy. Barry Hussein couldn't care less about the blacks or anybody else for that matter, except himself. He's not even American. He's a fraud. It's deplorable.... and scary. -

It is hard to blame the poor for not understanding the facts about Obama. They are being used as they always are by the democrats. They give democrats power and get nothing to show for their loyalty. When you are lied to over and over you start to believe the lies. Combine that with a powerful liberal media agenda and presto, they follow like sheep.
The media has falsely deionized President Bust to such an extent that even some fairly intelligent but uninformed Americans are following blindly to the tune of the Obama media. Change change change. OK you'll get change.

raves Nov 03, 2008 06:53AM GMTNo doubt this election and Obama's projected win bothers people such as yourself. If you cared anything about this country, you'd be praying that it gets healthy. Instead your small and shallow mind prays for the demise of a husband, father and perhaps the next President. Your line about crime in Washington was laughable. White Republicans have given us many criminals: Mark Foley, Larry Craig, Lewis "Scooter" Libby,Jack Abramoff and the list goes on and on. Republican scandals are a major reason they're losing the election. The good news is you are in the minority (that must hurt, huh?) - most people don't share your viewpoints. The even better news is that Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States and you will have to gnaw and chew on that for at least the next four years. As we go forward, we'll see you and your ilk in the rear view mirror!

raves +2 -3 Oct 21, 2008 02:31AM GMTOh, and you're not voting for McCain because he's white? Yeah, right!!
You people are really scared aren't you? And your fears aren't about the safety or security of our country they are the same fears that make you cross a street or clutch your purse when you see a black man (even one in a suit!) or woman on the street! They are deeply-rooted in your fear of the unknown and blacks are just unknown to you.
Believe me folks, he's half white, he's not some inner-city thug you'll be afraid of on the streets. He's not some scary black man in a movie! Stop pretending you know any black people because it's clear the vast majority of you do not. Obama is the professional black family man who might move into your previously all white neighborhood and TA-DA you find out he's more like you than you think. He walks his dog, jokes about his wife, plays with his kid, bitches about work or the weather or his house--JUST LIKE YOU!
Don't be afraid folks, Obama may well be our next President and you'll see that he is more like the other Presidents than he is different from them. Only, pray G-d, better! -
raves +3 Oct 21, 2008 03:35PM GMTThat is totally not true and you have obviously not done your homework or you would know the truth about Obama. To say we are racist and scared to have a black person in the White House is absurd. I would vote for Dr. Condoleezza Rice in a heart beat!
I would have voted for Colin Powell until he pulled his racist BS. I used to have total respect for Colin but now that is out the window because I know why he is truly supporting Obama. It is because Obama is black! -
raves -1 Oct 31, 2008 02:39AM GMTAs with everyone, you're entitled to your opinion and explanation. I don't think any of you fearful folks would admit it here, and yet I suspect you would be clutching that purse and are fearful of what it'll mean for you to have President Obama.
Just my opinion.

raves Nov 03, 2008 06:38AM GMTI do believe the majority of white Americans will support a black candidate if he or she is the best choice for the job. It seems most white Americans feel Obama is the best choice out of the two offered. You are wrong about Colin Powell. You offer no proof that he supported Obama because they both are black. Colin Powell has more integrity, intelligence and concern for this country then you ever will. He is supporting the candidate which appears best for the country - same as a majority of Americans; quite a few who are white. Are they racist as well for supporting Obama? Meanwhile, all you can do is snipe, accuse and bring race into play. Your candidate and the right wing Republicans are losing this one and not a moment too soon. A change is coming, so get over it.

raves Oct 31, 2008 01:25PM GMTI consider myself colorblind in my heart and actions.
If you take color out of the equation and just go by what they've done the clear choice is McCain. Obama is all talk. He has accomplished NOTHING except getting elected.
I am old enough to know that politicians words when running for office mean NOTHING. -
raves Oct 31, 2008 01:29PM GMTGood for you, Fuzzy! Wish is was the case with all Americans but as you can see from the posts here and elsewhere a significant percentage of "caucasians" fear blacks and foreigners or anyone who is different.
I am old enough to know that nothing ever changes unless the PEOPLE want it to change, accept the need for change, and work to put words into ACTION.

Stating that McCain is a conservative or Obama is a liberal is ridiculous. Isn't that what the two party system is all about? Quit slinging mud and vote your party if that is what you wish. Personally, I vote after listening to both candidates debate, and not what their campaign tells them to talk about. -

This is bs simply put . Just another stretch to ignore the facts that mccain is incompetent an unable to manage, lead, and inspire this country. Ive read this story before and its simply a stretch at another link like ayers and more of the same fear, smear tactics by mccain supporters. Im not suprised in fact Ive come to expect allegations and smears like this because thats what mccain people have built there support on. Claiming pro-america, country first, and in the background the message is followed up by racism, predjudice, bigotry and divisiveness across the board.

Obuma is an eleitist snob. Caring about people in a slum is beneath his pay grade.
