Answered All of the above

They are all good. I honestly believe Elton John was/is one of the all time greatest song writers and musicians of modern times. However, my all time favorite Elton John tune is, "The Last Song" it nearly brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. I've lost 3 friends to AIDS and have two who are currently living with AIDS. The song is a beautiful tribute to the healing of souls and compassion that can come from shared sorrow.

That really should have been ALL of the above, but you didn't mention my real favorites. I could not pick just one. "Levon", "Tiny Dancer", "Benny and the Jets", "Harmony", "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" and really many more.

That's my favorite too. I never knew until sadiesmom told me Monday that he wrote that song originally for Maryland. I thought he put that together pretty fast when Princess Diana died. No wonder. You know how dumb I am when it comes to things like this.

No your not. It was meant for both. That is why he referes to Norma Jean in the song her real name. :)

I also just remembered the song he wrote for John Lennon, whose birthday's this Thursday. Something like "Can You Come Out And Play.

I love the simplicity of this song. I used to sing it like a lullaby to my daughter when she was tiny.
