Answered Palin won the debate
If you've been in the Senate since 1972 and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee you have NO EXCUSE for mistakes or lies or gaffes or whatever you want to call them. The VP mistake was terrible. She's been on the campaign for how long? She made a few mistakes but she did really well. Can you imagine all the stuff that they crammed in her head in such a short time. What does that tell you about her intelligence? She is not a Washington insider and that is terrific in my book. She might not play by their rules and that terrifies them. Joe Biden is a loose cannon and can't be trusted as to what he might say. He could be a huge embarrassment to the country. -

Answered Biden no question.
It was like watching two different debates. Biden was answering the questions asked with very indepth reasoning and Palin said from the outset that she was not going to answer the question and was going to talk "straight" to the people. Code for I have talking points and notes and that is what I am going to say and read. In a freshman debating class that would get you a D-. -

Answered Sarah Palin connected (to the people) more, but obviously Biden knows more
Palin pumped up her base supporters. But she is still a dumb gun slinging hockey mom.
We need smart people in the white house. Let Bush be the last dumby to live in the white house. -

Sarah gets the prize. She speaks to people without the obvious attorney speak, she is level headed and hard working. She has to try more because she is a woman and is regarded as such. If she does not know more than Biden its because he has been a Senator for a zillion years. Rather have an outsider in Washington who dosent have ties to the Fannie/Fredie scam than a Senator who told ten outright lies and works the system for his own profit. -

palin was out-going & friendly....she knew the issues & she came across as sum1 who truly cares about the American ppl. biden, undoubtedly, has yrs of experience behind him, but that may not prove 2 be a good thing!??! the only time i felt a connection 2 biden was when he almost broke down over the loss of his wife & daughter. then, i recalled hearing that he accepted his appointment to the senate while his loved ones laid in the hospital..... -

The only reason people keep saying she won is because the expectations were extremely low and she didn't say anything completely stupid. But she did not answer most of the questions and kept repeating herself, because she could only talk about what she knew... which is not much.
She connected with the people... because most people don't really like thinking and see a little (or a lot) themselves in her. -

PALIN GETS UNDER BIDEN'S SKIN AS SHE WINS DEBATE!Not only did Gov. Sarah Palin handily defeat Sen. Joseph Biden in last night's Vice Presidential debate, she also got under his skin numerous times.
The news media hasn't been talking about it, but this video shows Biden repeatedly sighing and smirking throughout the debate. Gov. Palin also nailed Sen. Biden for his flip-flopping and doublespeak on "clean coal."
A focus group of swing voters that conducted by pollster Frank Luntz showed an overwhelmingly declaration that PALIN WON THE DEBATE!! The campaign has been turned on its head with last night's debate and there is new momentum for the McCain/Palin ticket!
