Which one of the following - The Confederate Battle Flag / The Southern Cross or Rebel Flag Sentiment reflects your viewpoint or do you like the best?

Everyone has an opinion on SOUTHERN PRIDE these days. This pole is not really for ANTI-Confederate Flag persons. Because if the Flag of the UNITED STATES of America, can be desecrated by burning and I'm not going to even qualify the other terrorist acts done to it. AND if the Mexicans and the Mexican ILLEGALS can pull down OLD GLORY to fly their nation colors IN THE UNITED STATED of AMERICA on AMERICAN SOIL and the POLICE don't even STOP THEM. WHY can't we of Southern HERITAGE with pride fly ours? It is a flag of honor, designed by the confederacy as a banner representing state's rights and still revered by the South. The South denies any relation to hate groups and denies them the right to use the flags of the confederacy for any purpose. So vote on your favorite. By the way I have over 30 of these so 10 were hard to pick.

Now for the ones of us that are REDNECKS......I'm doing one just for us um.........uuurrr........them....what ever... and all the LIBERALS and Yankees can scream at the top of their lungs cuz I put in NONE of the above All of the yatta yatta, just so they won't feel left out.

I had put that this PROUD Flag flew over South Carolina Capitol but I was corrected and I feel this is worth reading so I am adding it.

ONCE AGAIN FOR PC (POLITICAL CORRECTNESS) The White Man looses HIS RIGHTS and His RESPECT! My THANKS TO- " P B L " WHO Brought this to my attention and did all the research! ******** And this his her comment((((
But the flag you speak of does not fly over the Capitol Building and has not for many years now.

August 1999- The NAACP calls for a national boycott of vacation spots in South Carolina in an attempt to force the state government to remove the Confederate flag from the dome of its statehouse. Controversy on this issue grows, involving the flying of the Confederate flag in other southern states as well.

January 17, 2000- More than 46,000 protesters rally in a march on the state capitol at Columbia, South Carolina, to protest the Confederate battle flag flying atop the statehouse dome. NAACP chair Kweisi Mfume, the main speaker at the event, called it the greatest civil rights rally since the 1960s.

A Battle Lost, A War Won?: The beginning of the end of the NAACP’s war against southern heritage

"This is a real problem for the opponents of the Confederate flag. There is nearly universal agreement that the flag would not have come down Saturday without the NAACP tourism boycott begun in January. However, now that the terms of the boycott have been met, many NAACP supporters are still unsatisfied. Some flag opponents are unhappy that the flag’s new home — on a 30-foot flagpole at the busiest intersection in downtown Columbia — is far more visible than the statehouse dome. Their feeling of discomfort was heightened by flag supporters shouting 'Off the dome and in your face' during the flag ceremony." - Michael Graham, political columnist and talk radio host in SC )))))))))

Answered If This Flag Offends You ........You need a History Lesson

We are taught that the War for Southern Independence was about Slavery. That the South was "bad" and "wrong" and that slave-owners didn't want to be part of the United States.

I'm sorry, but what a bunch of bull! It's about independence, freedom and states' rights. Something the Union was taking away one piece at a time. Sound familiar?

My flag is Red, White, and Blue, just like yours. Mine just has 13 stars. I don't see any reason why it should offend anyone.

Amazing how States' Rights have been edited out of history....the PC version of the War Between the States has as much truth as the PC version of how the "brave" pilgrims settled here. So oppressed and yet oppressed those who were already here and bit the hand that fed them. Yeah who would want to secede from THAT?????

Answered American by Birth SOUTHERN by the Grace of God

I'll get flamed for this but here goes anyway. I am Southerner by birth. The flag should be flown in historical locations. To blatantly wave it around town is a different story. I am not trying to be pc. The South lost. It is disrespectful to fly any flag other than Old Glory. I say to those that keep flying this flag in place of the Stars and Stripes. This is America. Love it or leave it.

That flag isn't about hate. It's about a lot of little things that you learn growing up in the south. It's about learning to say "yes sir", and "no ma'am", and respecting your elders, it's about saying hey or waving to someone you don't know, being nice to your neighbors, and a lot of other things that make the south the way it is.

The flag is one of heritage, not hate. I marched in 3 marches in South Carolina to keep that flag flying on top of the state capitol in Columbia. Of course, you did not hear much about the initative to keep it, because our efforts were not politically correct, lol. I do not hate anyone. We should have the right to honor our heritage. I celebrate Confederate Memorial Day every May 10th and encourage other true Southerners to do the same.
