Mom Cooks Baby In Microwave After A Fight With Her Boyfriend: Should We Give Her The Death Penalty?
A mother intentionally put her month-old daughter in a microwave oven and cooked the child to death after a fight with her boyfriend, a prosecutor told jurors Thursday. Defendant China Arnold and her boyfriend had argued over whether he was the biological father, Assistant Montgomery County prosecutor Daniel Brandt said during closing arguments in the woman's retrial. The argument got so heated that Arnold bit her boyfriend's lip and he slapped her, Brandt said. Arnold, 28, of Dayton, is accused of killing her infant daughter Paris Talley in 2005. She could face the death penalty if convicted of aggravated murder.Brandt said Arnold told a cellmate she put the baby in the microwave and turned it on because she was worried her boyfriend would leave her if he found out the child wasn't his, Brandt said. "She could have stopped it with one finger, but she didn't," Brandt said. "We know she used that microwave as the instrument of death."

What I want to know is WHY? Why would you do something so horrible to such a helpless little baby. HOW could you. I know it is terrible to wish a horrible and painful death upon anyone but a part of me would want her to die the same slow, painful death that she chose for her infant daughter. -

Answered No. She Doesn't Deserve Death.
What that mother did makes me sick. I want to beat the holy living shit out of her. Its so disgusting to me I am beside myself. Ugh, who could do something so evil to an innocent little kid? But the thing is, we no longer live by the "eye for an eye" rule. jesus Christ brought ultimate forgiveness through His ultimate sacrifice. And no one, not even this devil of a woman, is too far gone for His forgiveness. It's not our place to take her life. If we take her life we are no better than her. It seems wrong to let a bitch of a woman like that live, but it's the right thing to do. -
raves Sep 01, 2008 05:44PM GMTReally? And who are you to say that? What exactly am I wrong about, miss? Not believing in "Jesus"? Because I could turn that around and say you're wrong for BELIEVING. And if I'm supposedly wrong about whether he would want to forgive her or not, once again, who are you to say? Do you know this "Jesus" personally? Have you conversed with him about this situation? :p
You cannot make a convincing argument based on religion because not only are there many different forms of religion, but there are also those who oppose religion altogether. So if you want to convince anyone, try a different angle. -
raves Sep 02, 2008 09:12PM GMT (edited)I am no one to say that. Jesus says that. I am not arguing with religion. I dont believe in religion. Religion is for Pharisees. I believe in Jesus Christ and the personal relationship that I have with Him. Yes, I know His personal feelings on the matter, and yes I know Him personally. God said in Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder. He also said In Mathew 5:38"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' 39But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person..." Meaning that with the coming of Jesus Christ brought a new idea to the human race that revenge and equal punishment is not the way to act. We must act out of love. He says in Matthew 18:22 Not to only forgive someone 7 times, but continually forigve them. 77 times, a thousand times. As many as they ask. Now, yes, everyone has their own personal beliefs of how the world was created and who is ultimately the "ruler" if any. But the only one that makes sense, the only one that has not wavered, and the only one that an educated person could ever truly deem reasonable is Christianity and more specifically the work of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit working as one. When that knowledge has met a personal relationship with Christ, then you will find what Christianity is all about. It must sound crazy but its something you have to find out for yourself. Now something tells me you don't care to hear why or how such things can be true, but if you do I would be happy to share.

"The only [personal belief] that makes sense, the only one that has not wavered, and the only one that an educated person could ever truly deem reasonable is Christianity and more specifically the work of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit working as one."
Yes, I'm sure any educated person would never DARE to question the existence of a trio of imaginary friends consisting of an alchemist, a voyeur, and a ghost. Come ON! Take a step back, really, a GIGANTIC step back and LOOK at what you're saying. It sounds like madness, delusion, ignorance!
Now once again, if you wish to convince other people, arguing from this particular angle [involving alchemic zombies and voyeurs in the clouds and whatnot] will not do it. For those who do not believe in the book of allegory that is the bible or any of the characters therein will not take anything that comes from it/them seriously. -

She needs to be put to death. Ideally drawn and quartered, but any method is acceptable I suppose. Death by microwave would seem much more appropriate.
