Do you think Smallville will live past its 7th Season?
In a recent Q&A session with Al Gough and the members of TVGuide.com, Al states that its possible the show will reach beyond the 7th season, which has thus far been predicted as the final season for the show.
Some of the actors themselves, however, have expressed a lack of interest in returning for a season beyond their contract, and many fans are even wondering how much longer will they try to stretch out this prequal before eventually getting Clark Kent's angsty ass to become the greatest superhero of all times, Superman.
Do you think the 7th season won't be the last season?

I really hope not. They're just barely treading water now and have recycled the same tired plot for 6 seasons already. It's obvious the PTB don't care about Clark's or Lex's journeys. All they care about is the next shiney new character they get to play with. Oh, and Lana of course. -

I sure hope it does, I just can't get enough of this show! I'm from a small town in WA Australia where they never showed it on tv, so I crammed all 5 seasons on dvd into 4 months of viewing, watched the rest online, so I'm up to date and totally hooked. There is enough in the Superman mythos to keep going (even, I feel without Lex). Go for it I say! I guess it is up to TPTB rather than the lowly viewer to decide, but Ill be watching!! -

The wording of the question ("Do you think the 7th season won't be the last season?") is a little awkward. I guess I'm trying to vote "The 7th should be the last season." Did I do that right? Brain hurts.
I agree, the show JTS when Clark went back in time to save Lana. Boo, hiss. -

7 seems to be the magical number for many sci-fi/fantasy series, such as Star Trek (TNG/DS9/Voy), and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. While Smallville is fun, it's already taking place more in Metropolis; methinks the premise is show is mostly over.

As much as I'd like to see it still go...were would the story go..
its time for clark to go to the big city.. and become a big shot..
