BHO EXPOSED BY BLACKWELL?? (have you seen this?)?

a Fellow Sh named "reelman" showed me this, have you seen it too?

Ken Blackwell - Columnist for the New York Sun (also an AAmerican)

It's an amazing time to be alive in America. We're in a year of firsts in this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first frontrunning freedom fighter over 70. The next president of America will be a first.

We won't truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won't arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender. Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his policies and his politics.

The reality is this: Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He's not. He's the next George McGovern. And it's time people learned the facts.

Because the truth is that Mr. Obama is the single most liberal senator in the entire U.S. Senate. He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose rhetoric is so far removed from his record. Walter Mondale promised to raise our taxes, and he lost. George McGovern promised military weakness, and he lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he lost.
Yet Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he's not behind in the polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty pageant.. Mr. Obama talks about getting past party, getting past red and blue, to lead the United States of America . But let's look at the more defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial 'beauty.'

Start with national security, since the president's most important duties are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to destroy Israel and create another Holocaust; and Kim Jong II, who is murdering and starving his people, but emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists - something no president has ever taken off the table since we created nuclear weapons in the 1940s. Even Democrats who have worked in national security condemned all of those remarks. Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who would put our national security at risk.

Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so that even people of modest means can live a life that no one imagined a generation ago. Yet Mr. Obama promises to raise taxes on 'the rich.' How to fix Social Security? Raise taxes. How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes. Prescription drugs? Raise taxes. Free college? Raise taxes. Socialize medicine? Raise taxes. His solution to everything is to have government take it over. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck.

Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a stadium rally by saying, 'All praise and glory to God!' but says that Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have 'hijacked' - hijacked - Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional. He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early advocates of racial cleansing. His spiritual leaders endorse homosexual marriage, and he is moving in that direction. In Illinois , he refused to vote against a statewide ban - ban - on all handguns in the state. These are radical left, Hollywood , and San Francis co values, not Middle America values.

The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election.. Mrs. Clinton is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if people don't start looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches. His vision of 'bringing America together' means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for America are hijackers or warmongers. Uniting the country means adopting his liberal agenda and abandoning any conflicting beliefs.

    Answered None of the above

Mr Blackwell doesn't know what he's talking about.

The "strongest health care system in the world?" We spend more money on health care than any other country by far. Our health care system is the most expensive and wasteful in the world.

He says Obama favors partial birth abortions? Partial birth abortions have been outlawed in Federal courts. No place in the country can perform legal partial birth abortions. I doubt that Obama is going to make it a priority to reinstate partial birth abortions.

Mr. Blackwell is a typical Conservative entertainer. He lies, he exaggerates, he misinforms, he distorts. And why does he do it? Well, because he has a receptive audience.

He has an audience who wants to believe all that misinformation. He is a columnist . . . essentially an entertainer like Hannity or Limbaugh, except he is a writer . . . of mostly fiction.

And laughable, willingly gullible fools such as many of you on this poll just eat it up.

I'm not going to go through your entire list GLO, i'll just do one to show you the misperceptions of your thought processes..

"The "strongest health care system in the world?" We spend more money on health care than any other country by far. Our health care system is the most expensive and wasteful in the world. "

Wasteful, or not, doesn't change the fact that we "DO" have the strongest healthcare system and the best level of care in the world... Your attempt at diverting from the fact, to an unrelated point is transparent in it's intent.
you would ignore a factually based truth in order to forward your own agenda, which also explains why you're willing to support a candidate like Obama..

I'll leave the rest of your comments to their own merits.. or lack of merit...

i do appreciate your participation in the poll nonetheless, even if i don't happen to agree with your assesment... Thanks

And, in typical liberal fashion, you run your mouth. with accusations unsubstantiated by anyone but yourself. But, I don't believe that you're a gullible fool, no, I'd say you're just an egocentric ass.

Come on Ed. Who says I'm a liberal?

    I don't say that. I am a Realist, essentially a moderate.

From my perspective I can see what's going on.

Extremists seem to get carried away trying to support their unsupportable dogmas.

Gosh, I'm glad I'm not like that.

you know GLO, i always tell you, and anyone else that i talk to on here the way i see things, basically you could say i shoot straight from the hip... so with that i mind i want to ask you a question, and it's entirely up to you whether you answer it or not...
now if you don't, i'll prolly piss and moan about how you wouldn't answer me until i find something else to piss and moan about, but it's still your choice to do so or not...

"If you're a realist, basically a moderate as you say... how can you in good support of your OWN professed values support someone who is so far to the left that they have to move to the right just to get enough room to put their left hand in their coat pocket?"
I mean even for a moderate democrat (which is basically what McCain is) Barry's too far to the left with his socialistic and borderline communistic views and stances... His ideas are fine in Russia, or some other nation like that, but they're not right for, and not needed in this country of all places...

oh and yeah, you do come across as an extremist at times too, just in case you didn't notice.. but in fairness, to you, "not always"
  • raves     [-] GLO replied to Bill - McGee/??? - 2012
    .
I would like to see some legitmate evidence for your contention that Obama is a near Communist.

Obama is no more a Communist then McCain is a Fascist.

    Neither extreme works.

And Obama is not all that extreme.

I think one of the biggest problems in this country is that so many citizens have moved so far to the right. I think it's largely the result of conservative propaganda. We have the conservative entertainers like Hannity, Limbaugh, and OReilly perpetually belching nonsense that I can only scoff at . . . but others suck up like it's an addictive drug.

We have Rupert Murdoch the billionaire plutocrat and media mogul bent on using the media to broadcast a bent philosophy of conservatism. He owns FOX knows and several other major media outlets like the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal.

    . . . And it works.

Conservative propaganda has swayed a lot of people. As a result, America has shifted to the Right with devastating effects.

That shift has skewed the public's perception of normalcy.

Now someone a little to the left of center is called a Communist and a Republican is called a moderate Democrat.

I don't have too much problem with supporting Obama. He is a Democrat who will bring Democratic ideals with him to the White House....

I don't have too much problem with supporting Obama. He is a Democrat who will bring Democratic ideals with him to the White House. By the way, McCain is NOT a Democrat. And his fiscal policy will only be a continuation of the current administration's. In other words, a McCain Presidency would be a huge mistake.

I think it most likely Bill, that you are one of the many who has allowed himself to be manipulated by Conservative propaganda.

As a result, you are NOT centered. Your perceptions are skewed.

Obama is not nearly as far to the left as you think.
  • raves     [-] Ed - Welcome to the U.S. of S. replied to GLO
You're as much a moderate as Obama pretends to be.
  • raves     [-] GLO replied to Ed - Welcome to the U.S. of S.
Unsteady Eddy, your perceptions are skewed.

You have obviously lost the ability to judge relative positions on the political continuum.

After another Republican administration, Fascism is likely to be the norm for you wrong wingers.

We have to stop this nation's drift toward the Right/Wrong.

Look what's it's done to our country so far.

With another Republican administration, things will only get worse.

I still would like to know how he overtook Hilary for the Democratic nomination. Obama has proven again and again that he is not ready to lead and yet the media are so in love with him they never print anything negative (anything of substance, that is).
As a registered Democrat I figured I'd just bite the bullet and vote for him but the more I investigate the more I don't want him to get elected.
Hear that, fellow Dems? INVESTIGATE figured bite bullet vote investigate elected hear fellow dems investigate
I hope something happens between now and November because "I'm So Confused!"

I supported Hillary too. But Obama is the Democratic candidate.

As such, he will bring a Democratic ideology with him to the White House.

McCain, on the other hand, is a Republican who will continue to try implementing the same horrible, unworkable Republican ideology that is so characteristic of the Bush White House.

Toonmaster, I think Obama overtook Hillary because the media judged him to be more marketable.

Face it. The news media is a segment of the entertainment industry, and as such, they compete for market share.

The news media needs its news media star, and that is Obama.

Complicity of the mainstream media helped propel Obama to the position he has attained thus far.

Still, the fact remains that as the Democratic candidate, Obama is superior to any Republican candidate.

Conservative ideology, embodied by the Republican Party has run our country into the ground. Conservative ideology is not working, and it has not worked for some time.

Our country has moved too far Right. We need to move back toward the center so our country can follow a productive and reasonable course toward the future.

Well, isn't that wonderful. We've had a President for the last 7 years with that same goal in mind.

Answered Yes, I have, and I think...

That is why I have called Barack Hussein Obama a SuperLiberal since day one because he more than lives up to the name. Obama wants to turn the U.S.A. into a Socialistic society. Why do you think Obama and Pelosi oppose U.S. offshore drilling? Why do you think he was so welcome in Europe (especailly in France)? Barack Hussein Obama wants to ring out cash from the rich and gift that money to the poor and totally IGNORE the middle class and working class (which is the majority of Americans). Obama has NO energy plan. John McCain is for U.S. offshore oil drilling, ending oil speculation, building nuke plants, clean burning coal, wind, solar, hydrogen and wants American energy independence so we aren't sending trillions of dollars to the middle east and other countries. To me that is a full scale energy plan. I'll take that over "just put air in your tires" any day.

John McCain = U.S. energy independence, $2.25/gallon gas for now and cheaper cleaner energy for the future.

Barack Hussein Obama = "just put air in your tires"

You tell me who's putting the American people and overall well being first. John McCain is the man who cares about you. Barack Hussein Obama only cares about his ego and getting elected.
  • raves     [-] GLO replied to Matayo MCCAIN/PALIN 2008

Obama = a sensible Democratic administration in touch with reality . . . and capable of recognizing problems and solving them
