What is the quickest false assumption people make about you?

Hey it's not good to assume anything about anyone but we all do it, so what is it people think about you that is completely false?

So far, they either assume that I'm stupid or that I'm smart. Neither one is correct.

numerous time people come up to me and ask me if im a lesbian (which im not), and people have called me a boy (acually a girl). so probally a boyish girl who dos'ent really care about her looks

I'm not sure but some woman used to not like me before they even got to know me. The plus to aging is that that doesn't happen as much anymore.

I have no clue why but a lot of strangers think I'm dangerous or something, because of the way I dress. I haven't got a threatening bone in my body though, so I started smiling a hell of a lot more at people to make them feel safer lol. After a while you do get sick of people pulling their kids out of your way or giving you dirty looks.
Another false impression I have heard I give out is one for being incredibly arrogant, but that's because of my slight english accent that most german's mistake for arrogance. I was really shocked when my best friend told me he was scared of me and didn't really like me the first time he met me.

Sometimes, people just assume im naked. like, i'll walk up to them and they're all like" ew, you're naked." just because im not wearing clothes doesnt mean you have to be mean. that leaves me emotionally naked.... and thats not refreshing, now is it?

an ex highschool football player because I'm big and a bit blocky. I am currently (at age 48) 5'11" and weigh 225. As a highschool senior I was 5'8" and 120 lbs. I had a growth spurt at 21 that put me at 5'11" and widened my shoulders a bit. Over the years I packed on the extra pounds.

There are two things that people automatically assume about me. It's either that I'm mean, (I've talked to so many people who have not met a nice red-head) or that I'm innocent. Not to say I'm completely corrupt. In certain ways, I AM innocent but.. For example: the other day, work was not too busy, so we were talking amongst ourselves when the conversation turned to smoking. They practically had heart attacks when they learned I'm a smoker.

People don't seem to make assumptions about me any more. Ages ago, when I was shy - people thought I was stuck up but that's not the case now. I'm pretty much an open book.

Want to hold their infants. I guess when I tell them I don't have children due to being sterile they just throw their children on me and then tell me how *lucky* I am not to deal with dirty diapers, vomiting, and having to get up in middle of the night to feed the child. *lucky* come on that's just a small part of having an infant. I'll never look in to a little face and see my husband's eyes, my father's nose, and my mother's lovely skin coloring.
