What's the weirdest thing that happened during a move?

We've all moved. Maybe across the country, maybe across the street. I'm moving this week. What are your weird moving stories?

I moved to the house across the street once, and another time I moved to a house where three generations(a father, son, and grandfather) had all commited suicide. :/

    Answered My story is...

    I moved an old broken microwave once. Moved it from the kitchen to the garbage. Mid way a big rat jumped out from it and scared the beegeebees out of me. Almost dropped the microwave on my toe. That was while I was in Indonesia. rats are common there. They even know how to catch the bus.

    you decide on the 'wierd' aspect.

    Wife's relative died, we were moving into his house. While loading the uhaul, I twisted my ankle getting off the truck. My brothers had to finish loading the truck and unload the truck.

    strange, they won't help me move anymore.

    I've never moved....I probably will though in a few weeks to go to university, I'll get back to you if anything weird happens lol

    Answered My story is...

    we packed all of our stuff in boxes of course, and we made sure we got all of them. but when we got to the new house to unload them over half were gone...we went inside a little after searching up and down the road for lost stuff, and when we stepped inside the boxes were in the living room.
    freaky shit.

    We moved like a mile down the road caues we lost your house and in the mile move we lost a tun of stuff. How is it possible to lose so much in one very small move.

    wish that was true. Durning the move my sister moved away well we were in the process of moving. lol Sad but true.

    Too friggin hot & muggy. Loved Padre Island and the people there for sure. It was alright but that was kind of an unhappy period in my life. Too much party time.......

    As far as the Keys go. Key West is fun to visit, but to be honest, I like Key Largo best.

    It wasn't that weird, but it was a bit weird for me:
    We moved from South Jersey to a temporary apartment near DC. Then I went to Nerd Camp from there for 3 weeks. When I came back from nerd camp, my family had already moved into the house. XD
    It was a little weird, but cool. Woo! XD

    Well I'm glad they told you. How awful it would be to come home to find a map tacked to the front door with a note that says "New Home!"

    My wife lived in Methuen for a little while, but she's moved all around. I lived in Lowell up until 4 years ago, then we moved 1200 miles. That was kind of weird. *grin*
