we have some the most educated professors, to some, it wouldn't make sense! to others, just stay in school and you will see what I mean!

Yes and No. 50,000 is alot of money to pay for a few months of learning. As long as you are getting a good education and learnign something from it it is worth it. If your able to pay for the classes you have a competetive edge over those who don't go to school thus getting a better job and helping the economy. So I feel it is alot steep to pay but worth a good amount of that money.

I know so many people who went to college and are killing themselves for a lousy 30,000 a year..... I hardly think it was worth it. Unless you are prepared to go through post-grad, college, in my opinion, is not what it's cracked up to be. College, to me, is just a brainwashing session. The professors typically fill the students with liberal garbage -- All in the name of teaching you how to think for yourself.... That isn't it, because if you have a differing opinion, you are not only ridiculed but, in many cases, failed. I think people who do not want to go to post-grad would probably be better off going to some kind of trade school. But that's my opinion. It's cheaper, and depending on your choice of trades, will probably make more than some college grads.

I'm actually a senior in college right now,(I'm studying to be a Social Studies teacher) and even though I'll be very proud to wear my cap and gown, I know people that went to trade schools (one guy went to welding school, another girl went to beautician school) both are making more money than I will when I become a teacher. I've always wanted to be a teacher, so it all depends on how you look at things. But just the same, I wish I had someone like you to listen to before going into debt with student loans, while some of my friends did 18 months of training and are off with their careers already. I really appreciated your comments. Thank you.

Teaching is a very respectable career. And you must have a college degree to teach. And a good teacher is extremely hard to come by these days. Just do yourself a favor, go on and get your masters. Go as far as you can go. You don' have to do it right away, but I have a friend who has a masters in teaching and she is doing very well.

A report titled "The Big Payoff: Educational Attainment and Synthetic Estimates of Work-Life Earnings" (.pdf) reveals that over an adult's working life, high school graduates can expect, on average, to earn $1.2 million; those with a bachelor's degree, $2.1 million; and people with a master's degree, $2.5 million.

$50,000? For me, try more along the lines of $250,000. Yes, completely worth it.

You must be in med school, or law school. If so, that's worth it, I think. :)

    Well -- think about it this way. Approx. $25,000/semester, including rent/food/books. 2 semesters/year X 4 years = $200,000. That's just undergrad =P.

But yeah, grad school costs a lot too.
