Have you ever returned early from a vacation?

I just got back from vacation. I was supposed to be gone for 5 days, but we left a day and a half early due to expenses.

    but i have returned late, thanks to UsuckAirways (USAirways) for cancelling our flight. we had to stay one more day, then they cancelled our flight the next day because the pilot didnt freaking want to get out of bed!!!! we ended up at home at 2:30 AM!

    yeah, then we tried delta; they stole my dad's gf's bag (they got it back luckily.) and i am right now at a relative's house; we drove 8 hours! damn flight security crap...

    Aww. At least they got the bag back. I just took a vacation that was a 9 hour drive, but the drive actually turned out to be a lot more fun than I expected

    when we were going through pensilvania they were making holes in the road...they would take out a big slab and toss it then put another in. it made the roads freaking bumpy! i was happy i was asleep

    I have extended a vacation a few times though, it's hard to leave when you are so relaxed and having a great time.

    Last summer we went to the beach for a week, my brother in law kept one of our boxers for us, he called us two days before we were supposed to leave to tell us she had gotten loose and ran off. So we came home, it took us four days and nights of searching woods and knocking on doors before we found her in a creek bed, she was very skinny and had been hit by a car but she was as happy to see us and we were to see her! It took us a couple weeks to get her weight back on her and get her back into shape, but she recovered just fine.

    that is what we had as well but about half way home it started to hail
