Definitely life. I was a C student all through primary and secondary education. I did learn some valuable stuff in my upper division coursework in college, but that was only a small step. I have learned a ton more in life, and maybe even some more useful information! -

I goofed off in school and still managed to get good grades. I applied myself toward certain subjects and many extracurricular activities. The informal education of these extracurriculars, my parents and brother, and 'on-the-job-training' really helped define me more than anything. -

You learn so much from both. You learn book smarts from school, which is a given. A lot of kids come to school and are already VERY SMART- but its street smarts. We don't give people enough credit for their street smarts. Sometimes street smarts are what gets people through life.

Both! School learning isn't worth a damn without life experience to put it all in prospective! That's how wisdom is developed! LOL
